The one hiccup we had was going almost a whole day without water in the bathrooms. A broken pipe could not be fixed overnight and consequently the day was wrecked. That apart, the stay was most enjoyable with excellent room service, huge swimming pools and other recreational activities.

Formerly a part of the Crowne Plaza hotels, Phuket Panwa Beach resort in situated in a sleepy nook of the Phuket island along the shallow Makham Bay on the east. We stayed in the Andaman Loft, one of their swankiest suites, built on 2 levels. The room was sparkling clean and has a direct access to a longish pool that spans the stretch of this side of the hotel. They have large LED TVs on each level, a Jacuzzi and 2 toilets. The staff are absolutely sweet and very attentive. The check-in and check-out was quick and painless. The breakfast spread is huge and is covered in the room costs in most plans. WiFi is also free for most plans and can be accessed from any part of the hotel. They have a sort of private beach - a shallow (less than 4 feet deep) stretch that joins the Makham Bay. There are enough sunbeds with fresh towels available within reach and there are usually a few staff members within sight. During low tide, however, the water recedes for more than half a kilometer and the view is not that great. Mosaic, their Thai restaurant, serves decent Thai food. The area around the hotel is rather deserted for most part of the day. Best suited for people who look forward to a quiet getaway without the bustle of a busy beach like Patong.

This was my 2ND stay at this resort, my last stay was 2 years ago,and I must say they have really improved, breakfast is far better, more room service and size options, with much better food quality and the gardens now give a better feel of a resort, though it is small by phuket standards but very nice decor.main reason to stay here is the location, brilliant quiet beach with a lot of privacy, and a few min walk and you can find great selection of international restaurants, a must must try is the shack next to the hotel serving superb catch of the day seafood..and also the crepes sold by a guy in a strolly

A bit of construction work in the neighborhood but otherwise it was a very good stay. Helpful front desk, excellent housekeeping, very good location. The breakfast was ample but could do with menu changes.

This is a good 4 * resort at a great Beach "KARON" which is very exclusive and clean beach, its got great sand and is a pleasure to bathe. The hotel though is clean but needs renovation and innovation which is a very business of phuket resorts.. it is located near the beach and a good selection of street food stalls. A must area if you dont want the buzz and buzzing of PATONG beach
