"Thanksgiving spend in Baltimore"
Nice stay! Beautiful location on the water. Parking was difficult due to popular bars nearby. We were able to walk to Canton and downtown easily.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simple, charming, great location"
The room was simple but warm and very comfortable, clean and great service from the front desk staff. We could walk to a great variety of bars and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was very small and very disappointing considering the cost and the bed was not much better than a box spring. We were woken up by the band playing next door till 1:30 am then again by the bar taking out the trash at 2:30 am. Fells Point is a great place to go in the city but we don't recommend this hotel at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Cozy hotel, close to everything, helpful staff, but very small room & uncomfortable bedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Always a good time!!!"
There's no place I'd rather stay. Great hotel in the perfect location. Always something going on. It was a nice surprise to see the outdoor flea market across the street in the square when we arrived.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
On the day of our check-in, the hotel was overwhelmed with two wedding parties and guests. As a result, our 4:00 pm check-in was delayed by nearly 2 hours. This was unfortunate as this was an impromptu overnight getaway! The staff was apologetic and later sent a bottle of wine and apology note to our room. It was comfortable stay, otherwise, with plenty […] of bars and restaurants within walking distance to keep us occupied as we waited to check-in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member Karen, On behalf of the Admiral Fell staff, I apologize for not meeting your expectations upon arrival. Being overwhelmed by two wedding parties is not a reasonable response for not having your room ready on time. For this, I am deeply sorry. I am glad to hear that our trained staff was able to make you feel at home once you got into the room. I am glad you enjoyed the area and look forward to your next visit!
Room was small and cramped.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member Mike, Thank you for posting your comments. Our hotel is number 9 according to the Historical Hotels Associations most historical hotel in America. Our 80 room hotel has all different types of shape and size rooms, some enormous, some medium, some small. Each one has its own unique character. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your room, but trust me when I say we have 79 more to pick from. Our location, atmosphere, and service is unique to any other hotel. I hope you come back and give us another chance!
"Two days in Baltimore"
Staff was very personable and helpful. Hotel was ok. Room was clean upon arrival but was not serviced second day. We were told they were "busy with VIP rooms". Bed was old, springs were bad, carpet was stained. Car was in valet, was good first day. Second day came back with a scratch on door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member Dear Traveler from Midwest, Thank you for posting your review and leaving both positive and constructive comments. Our staff is very please to hear such kind words about their service. I also like to thank you for mentioning both the housekeeping and valet issues. I will be sure to address this in our daily staff meeting to ensure we will continue to deliver the superior customer service each guest deserves to have. Thank you again!
"Our stay at Admirial Fell Inn"
When we stayed on august 28, 2014 it started out horrendously !! when my husband called to reserve a room he explained, we needed a handicapped room, I am in a wheel chair, but can walk short distances with a cane the bellhop immediately took our luggage, as we started to walk, I see there are 4 stairs to go up, I didn't say anything until we came to […] a second set of 6 stairs, with no hand rails now I'm furious ! I turn to the bell hop and say "is this supposed to be handicapped? he apoligized over & over and said he'd go downstairs to see what happened; he took us to our room, 4 more stairs we were on the third floor which didn't have access to the elevator, we checked the room, it was nice but no walk in shower as they told us. we had to wait an hour sitting in a chair waiting to be moved it was an hr. before we were moved. We came from Ct. to see my sister gravely ill & was at Johns Hopkins so I was very anxious to get there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member Dear Dan and Judy, On behalf of the Admiral Fell Inn Team, I apologize for not delivering the superior guest experience you deserve. I have brought this review to my Front Desk Supervisor's attention to use this as a tool for better coaching in the future. It is reviews like this that will help us create that level of service that we are so famous for. While we do have a maze like feel to our hotel, with twisted halls and sections with steps, we still meet code in terms of a handicap entrance, rooms, and showers. I look forward to your next stay and hope everything goes well with your sister at Johns Hopkins, they truly are a state of the art facility.
"Stay Here if You're in Baltimore"
This hotel is really great - perfect location in Fell's Point which is the old port area. Lots of small shops around it - right on the water at a water taxi stop. Our room was spacious and well appointed. We especially liked the hardwood floors for cleanliness. The place was spic and span. And what a bed! Best sleep we have ever had in a hotel. The […] walls of the room are thin so we could hear people in the hall but it was quiet when we went to sleep. The lobby is user friendly and the staff so pleasant and helpful. We were able to check our luggage before the free shuttle took us to the area of the game. Lots of good restaurants around and fun and lively people watching available. On Saturday a farmers market appeared outside the hotel which is just another added dimension of the area. This is the only place we would ever want to stay if we return to Baltimore. "Cordial and easy"
Mike at the front desk made me feel at home right away. The other Staff were friendly and very helpful. Fell's Pt. is a charming harbor with excellent restaurants and fun things to do along with invigorating, clean air. I highly recommend the Admiral's Inn at Fell's Pt., MD.Genuine Expedia guest review

Overall satisfaction. But a pre parking payment was not honored, creating a customer service annoyance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member Dear Knox, While I am delighted to hear you are overall satisfied, it is still no excuse to cause a disturbance in pre parking payment. We currently we do not offer this service, but it does seem like something we can look into if there is a demand. Thank you again for your comments.

"Not quite what I expected"
Was not in the room description that after taking elevator to the floor, I would still have to navigate 2 half flights of stairs. Having 3 bags, had to leave them to ensure I was going upward to the correct room or else carry them up and have to return if was in wrong part of hotel. The cabinet holding the TV had hinge missing making it almost impossible […] to close the doors. The TV did not have cable available the first day. The TV could not be watched/controlled by remote control unless both cabinet doors were open, which left not room to walk by the bed to the bath. One door actually would get stuck against the bed when opened. I believe the staff was short handed or had just hired new employees. Although the staff was very pleasing and accomodating, had trouble getting a simple request right. The hotel was in a very questionable part of town. The description stated that room service was available. It was not. After finally getting the menu for the restaurant brought to the room, I discovered that the restaurant was not affialiated with the hotel and did not deliver. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Admiral Fell Inn, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member On behalf of the entire staff here at Admiral Fell Inn, we are deeply sorry for not delivering the superior guest experience you deserve. Our hotel consists of 8 different buildings, all built between 1770 and 1903. This dramatic difference in years caused a differentiation in height between the hotels. The architect who constructed the hotel was able to connect all the different hallways by using steps. This is what caused the great uniqueness of our hotel. Your issues will be discussed in our daily staff meeting and looking forward to your next stay to we can truly indeed deliver the customer service we are famous for!
We loved the location , the choice of resturant, & the great music scene! We would stay no other place but your In Fells Point!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"So much better than Inner Harbour!"
We've been to Baltimore several times and decided to try Fells Point. We loved it! There are so many shops and taverns just steps from the door. The water taxi landing is literally across the street, but it's an easy walk to Harbor East and Inner Harbor. Lovely Inn in historic building. Staff was beyond helpful. Room was large and very clean, bed cozy, […] hair dryer, iron/board. Location couldn't be any better. There are a lot of taverns on Thames Street and it tends to get noisy. If you think that will bother you, then ask for a room away from the street. Already planning our next trip ! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Don"t stay on the first floor, the noise from the bar was a bit to loud. The inn was in agreat locationGenuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed our stay at the Admiral Fells Inn. Many restaurants within easy walking distance. Directly across from the water taxi with just a ten minute ride to the Inner Harbor. The hotel is a quaint, historical property. Staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely rebook next time we are in Baltimore.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely, historic hotel"
The Admiral Fell Inn (get it?) is an antidote to the cookie cutter chain hotels over near the conference center. Winding labyrinthine halls reveal history lessons around every turn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was dirty , carpet stained , hair in sink and tub, had to be changed to different room , would never stay again, would not recommendGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Best thing about the Admiral Fell is the location It is in the heart of Fells Point. There are many great restaurants and shops near by. The water taxi stop is across the street to take you anywhere in the bay area. The hotel itself has some problems. We enjoy an historic property but it can be maintained properly. There is no excuse for the chipped […] paint, cracked porcelain and broken faucets. The pillows were thin and hard. Some one needs to supervise the house keeping. There was grime coating the air vents, dust bolls in the corners and the bed sheets barely tucked around the mattress. We only had a bath mat one day out of five and the number of towels varied. One day we had no clean coffee mugs, glasses or coffee. It took 2 trips to the front desk and 2 visits by a house keeper to have this taken care of. Also there should be honesty in advertising. It was stated that there would be a daily paper available in the lobby and breakfast at 6:30. No paper - person at the desk said "oh, they stopped delivering that". Coffee and breakfast was usually 30-60 minutes late. There was also a lovely surprise of an extra $35 per day service charge for some mythical off site health club. For the price we paid I would suggest staying elsewhere and taking the water taxi to Fells Point. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The gentleman at check"
At check in - I shared I had to be at Johns Hopkins at 4:30 am and they moved me to an extra quiet room and then he actually went outside and stood in a parking space for me while I moved my car. Thx for the excellent service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, but ...."
Love the location, but there were a couple issues. The windows on the outside were filthy and since the floors were hardwood, the sound of an early vacuum of the room above me was super loud. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very nice. Especially when checking in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice & appealing hotel"
Very nice & appealing hotel. Excellent dedicated staff who likes this hotel... and its ghosts... But be aware of the surrounding neighborhood that could be very noisy ( street parties/ events & night club until 2:00 AM on Saturdays ) Perfect if your Week-end life style if you share a passion for Hip Hop music; Very acceptable if you can check on the […] Night club and street events ' schedule and so get a less exposed room Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Best Location to enjoy Fells Point"
We arrived a little early so we checked our bags and walked across the street and had lunch. The hotel staff was very helpful and by the time we had lunch we entered our room around 3:00. Admiral Fell Inn is in the heart of all activities. Many bars, dining locations and lots of historic stops. We arrived Friday and did ok in finding places to eat with […] no waiting. However, Saturday was very busy with standing room only. If you plan on taking the water taxi, get your tickets in the lobby of the hotel, they were free. Also we purchased the aquarium tickets, which were VIP and allowed us to move to a special line and walked right in. Had some good mussels at Bertha's. Fells Point is excellent for listening to good music which seemed to be on most streets. The only negative I could say about Admiral Fells is: We were on the second floor and right over a nightclub which played non stop RAVE club music, which went on from about 10-2. If you want a good night sleep, request a room away from Thames Street and not over the CLUB. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect location, but not worth even the lowest rate with the service, which includes, valet parking (when we pulled up the person was on a "smoke break" in side-front of hotel. He and another employee watched us getting out of the car then turned and continued smoking. In the front desk area - one person with 3 guests deep - smoke break guy happened […] to be a front desk employee, helps one person then jumps in MY car with the parking attendent and drives off to do a pick-up...leaving one person at the front desk. I did not appreciate the smoke smell he left in our car. Our room didn't seem to have floors cleaned and the bathroom had dirt on the walls. Unfortunately I was only able to stay one night but when I return in September I plan on staying longer. Great staff and a perfect location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice old hotel but several negatives"
The room was nice looking and decent size with a writing desk and a table and TV cabinet (did not open it, do can't say anything about the TV). The bathroom was old and dirty looking (wish I could post pictures) with a scummy coated tub and black specks of dirt near the drain. Also, one of the towels in the bathroom had quite a bit of brown dirt on […] it. The room was cold and didn't warm up when I raised the lever on the old thermostat (it wasn't digital). Overall a quaint old hotel with nice service in a really fun neighborhood but an unpleasant bathroom and temperature. I did not contact the front desk to fix any problems as I was only in the hotel room for the night and it was business so I didn't mind it not being relaxing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very unpleasant experience"
A friend told us the rooms by the street can be noisy so request a room in the back. Checked in, went to our assigned room on the 3rd floor to find it occupied. Got reassigned, walking to our new room to be stopped by the desk clerk telling us she thinks that one is occupied as well. Went back to the desk with her. She sent someone up to check if the […] room was occupied but it wasn't. Room size barely okay but bathroom was so small you couldn't close the door. Pedestal sink so no counter space. Thursday nights stay was fine except for the 45 minutes of garbage pick up first thing Friday morning. Beds are comfortable. Friday night we were up until 3:00 am because our room #221 was directly above a bar which played music. Our floor was actually vibrating with the beat. We had to turn up the TV to hear it over the music. We asked to be reassigned for Saturday night which they very kindly accommodated us. However this room was also on the 2nd floor, directly above the entrance to the hotel. We heard car noise and people talking all night and once again the annoying 45 minutes of garbage pick up in the morning. Since we were up so early again we thought we would get breakfast @ 7 before going to the airport but we couldn't even do that because Sunday breakfast doesn't start till 8. You can't beat the location though. NEVER STAY ON THE 2ND FLOOR OR IN A STREET SIDE ROOM and you should be fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Terrific room: very clean, with both updated amenities with historic charm. Can't beat the location. The hotel was great! It's in such a good location. Over 4 days we didn't repeat a restaurant, and we only had to go within a block or two of the hotel. Steve in the Tavern was great.
