Mary was very helpful with great suggestions of things to do. She also gave me info on the ferry conditions and kept me updated. Room was very comfortable with small kitchen and separate bedroom. Had a laundry which was easy. Even had Netflix to use. Wifi was excellent. Walked everywhere, good shopping and eateries. Definitely recommend with very friendly staff. Michelle was available on the weekend to help with anything else. Lovely homey place to stay.

We had a great stay at Lugano motor lodge! Great location within walking distance to New World grocery, the Warehouse and the various dining places. The parking is easy and the lady at the front desk is super friendly and helpful! She even gave us a bottle of creamy milk for our coffee when we checked in. She stayed until 7pm till we finished our laundry. Across the lodge is the beautiful Seymour Square where we took a morning walk after breakfast before heading out. The room is clean with dishes microwave and a small fridge, convenient for housing our groceries. The bed is super comfortable and we had a good night rest. We recommend this place for safe, convenient and comfortable road trips in the South Island!

Well placed in the heart of town and close to the Taylor river walkways. Beautifully clean, comfortable bed and lovely soft towels. Only grizzle is that there was no recycling bin in the room so I took my recyclables home with me. No single use products in the bathroom or kitchenette though. Very friendly and helpful staff

Staff were excellent on arrival and during our extended stay (was a 4 night trip, extended another 2 nights + another 4 nights). Staff blocked out dates for us as we had a sick family member & then a funeral to attend. They went out of their way to make our time at Lugano memorable. Wifi was a little difficult sometimes, but a reset sorted this issue. Bed comfortable, a little noise from road, clock tower but an excellent stay.

Can't beat the location, walking distance to everything in town. Room was large, kitchen well appointed, could have used a bigger more comfortable couch given the room slept 6 but the couch only had room for 3 but everything was clean and the staff were lovely.

Great friendly service. Beware they have an electric blanket underneath the bedding in case you have adverse reactions to it like me. They are happy to remove it if requested.
