6/10 Good

Hi Inn okay, but bathrooms could do with a refresh.

Really nice stay.

Good location to explore Bowness. Easy check in and didn’t really see anyone after that. Rooms need a bit of TLC in my opinion but a good stay for what we paid.

Great room. Just dont get any sleep

Music blaring till 2am, and then road noise started at 5am. The room is great but you just dont get to enjoy sleeping

Low price, but uncomfortable bed.

For the price, I'd stay again, provided they replace the mattress, it was too soft and old, my wife ended up in the z bed with my daughter as it was hurting her back. It was also cold, with no heating, it was the end of October and had to go to bed with a jumper and socks on. Checkin was smooth with the freindly barman. The room was clean, kettle, hairdryer etc. provided. Could do with a larger mirror. The room was quiet, I couldn't hear other guests or noise from the pub below. No road noise, the room overlooked the main road but I couldnt hear buses as they past, obviously this would be different on a hot summers day with the window open.

The property was functional. A bit dated but nothing too drastic to say I wouldnt stay again. Staff were friendly Convenient location.

So so at best

It is difficult for me to understand how places that don’t allow you into your room until mid afternoon don’t have space to store your luggage. Also there was a very poor water stream from the shower and no internet availability from the top floor.

Loud and noisy above the saloon

It was bound to happen. After years of Hotels.com reviews, I have experienced my worst night and would like a refund. Never should one be in a room above/adjacent to a bar (especially on Saturday night). The noise was beyond uncomfortable even for me, a very heavy sleeper. I may have gotten 3-4 hours of sleep.

Few staff

Rooms are above pub. Its staff deals with room bookings. If they are serving drinks and busy then you have to wait. Our toilet flush had an issue, we registered it with them but no body came to resolve during our stay.

Would recommend

Staff on reception really nice and helpful. A lovely room. Bed very comfortable, had a good nights sleep. Loved that we had a range of hot drinks with options that included oats milk for lactose intolerant and bottled water. There was a lovely hot shower. The only downside was the noisy toilet in the bathroom but apart from that, we had a nice stay. Would stay again.

Stayed there a few times. Nevertheless complaining. Got in to the room it was rotten. The toilet absolutely dirty still stain marks in the pot. Had to asked the cleaner to come back to clean. The bathroom door cover with stains

Had a disappointing stay here and wouldn’t recommend it. The toilet was broken (wouldn’t flush). We did report this but it wasn’t fixed. We had a terrible nights sleep as the doors to each room slam shut very loudly so we heard guests coming back at 1am and then guests leaving at 6.30. The noise from the road is loud. All in all not a comfortable or relaxing stay.
Rebecca, 1-night trip

The room was dirty, there was dust clung to the wallpaper but the worst element was the foisty and mouldy bathroom, it smelt and had lots of visible mould. The shower head was dirty and covered in black gunk, the extractor didn’t work which I’m guessing is what had helped the mould grow.

We stayed for one night with two dogs. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a lovely bar area! The hotel was in a great location and our room was clean. The decor in the hotel was slightly dated, but it was perfect for what we wanted for the night.

Checked into the hotel went for a walk, when we returned the accommodation in the hotel section had no power despite the bar still being open, we were given no apology just told they had to wait for an electrician to turn it back on, this was about 5.30pm we ended up going to bed early with no light no heating or hot water, it eventually came back on about 10pm I think and woke us up, again on check no apology nothing.
