Average hotel, dust everywhere and found that the manager smoothly tried to get me to make an additional payment for an already paid for room - I didn’t like that attitude. Asked how to get to the city center - told me to walk it. It was quite a long walk and I discovered there were several buses on the way

A great hotel, within an easy walk if 15 mins to centre of Salzburg. Breakfast was very good. The only downer was the pillow, a very soft pillow, but I didn’t ask for more or even a change, so more of my problem rather than the hotel’s.

Do NOT stay.
This hotel has the service and comfort of a students’ hostel. No shampoo, conditioner, soap, or lotion. Double bed is a queen, not a king as many European hotels define it. Single pillows, poor mattress, very basic bedding. No tea, coffee, iron, robe, slippers, etc. But the worst thing was their HVAC system which kept the room at 80 degrees. We couldn’t sleep the 3 nights we were there, and the hotel receptionist claimed the temperature was normal. This hotel ruined a very special New Years trip to Salzburg that we will never get back.
