Lodge Quelana

Lodge Quelana was a calm oasis during our time in San Pedro de Atacama, which is a very busy and touristy place. The property is beautiful and filled with trees. Each room is a standalone casita with its own private bathroom and deck. The lodge is a few kilometers out of town, so you need to drive to restaurants. While this can be a bit of a hassle, the trade off is the tranqulity and quiet of a more isolated location. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful. There is wifi though the connection was not entirely stable.

Our room at Lodge Quelana was perfect for us. Not expensive but very roomy. The bathroom was very smartly decorated and furnished, with a nice, uncramped shower. Each room is a seperate dwelling which is very private. Breakfast is excellent. Best of all were our hosts who were always there for us. I am an amatuer astronomer and I found a dark enough area on the property to set up my telescope and shared views of the superb southern skies with some of the guests, but most enjoyably, with our fine hosts.

San Pedro de Atacama is an amazing escape in the north Chilean desert. A stay at Lodge Quelana replicates the beauty and comfort in this part of South America. The free-standing building that you stay in is newly built and perfectly fitted with all of the comforts of a 5 star hotel. Amazing hot water rain shower, satellite TV, high speed WIFI, large comfy beds, private viewing deck for the stars, clean linens, private parking, fresh/healthy breakfast... I could go on. Gabriel and Claudia have done a wonderful job of maintaining the place while being inviting yet very respectful of the patron's space. I have already recommended this place to several family members coming to Atacama in the next year.

A very cozy, clean and comfortable lodge!! Very friendly and helpful staff. It’s located off the beaten track with is nice, just on the outside of town and therefore much more peaceful. It also ha a great little private star gazing platform which is nice bonus!

The property was absolutely beautiful! The room we stayed in was quiet, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. We enjoyed staying just a little bit outside of town because it was a lot more quiet and peaceful around the area. But what we loved the most about our stay is the staff! They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could possibly be! They arranged transportation to and from town, and they made sure our every need was well taken care of. Please stay at this lodge if you are visiting San Pedro de Atacama! It was honestly one of the best experiences I had while staying at a lodge!

Very comfortable, clean, high quality build bungalow, very helpful and nice owners.

I loved how quiet the property was. A nice terrace available to guests for excellent stargazing. Staff was incredibly helpful with suggestions on exploring the desert. Room was spacious and clean with more than satisfactory beds.

Wonderful hosts who were helpful in every way. Highly recommend. Beautiful grounds and lovely for stargazing.

Schöne Anlage abseits der Stadt. Ein separates Deck ermöglicht die Sternenbeobachtung und auch am Pool kann man sich wohlfühlen
