Very good
Hotel was clean and presented well but during heavy rain, some of the rooms had some water leakage according to the large party we were with so the facility is showing some age. However the employees were all great, the food was great and service too and we liked the private beach and facilities there.

Good
Perhaps bad timing...
Over the course of a 3 night stay we had to change our room 4 times !! (1) we booked two doubles they gave us a king (2) they moved us to a quiet room which had an adjoining room (joining doors) with a bunch of party people. (3) the next room they gave us had no working a/c and when we returned from diner it was not only hot, it smelled like a sewer. (4) finally what got we were hoping for. Most of the hotel staff were great. We can't blame them for the room conditions. We did have two troublesome encounters with staff however. Our 'delux' meal was in the Mexican restaurant. The raw tuna salad was great, the snapper, while overcooked, was good. But one of the waiters had a 'real' problem for which we do not know the source. It would have been a good scene out of a tv comedy series. He virtually threw the 2 cups of coffee onto the table. We mentioned it to one of his co-workers who said - 'yes he is being a little aggressive'. The other 'odd' situation was when we asked one of the idling 4 or 5 waiters (it was 7AM and there were perhaps 6 clients in the entire restaurant) at breakfast for some 'tocino' and while he did get it for us he made it a point that 'he' was not our waiter and we should not ask him for anything more. I know that occupancy was down to 27% (from the expected 75%) on the morning we left so perhaps that was driving emotions - but it was still 'our' annual vacation. Saludos

Very good
Our room had a spectacular view as did the adult pool. The beach was too rough to swim and the smoking made it unpleasant to sit and enjoy the surf. The staff were very accommodating and our breakfasts and cocktails and snacks in the evenings were a nice touch. The lobby bar had great views also but again smoking made it unappealing to stick around. Great location within walk to restaurants and shops.

Good
Not the best
The views are amazing, but that’s the only big win for this hotel. Food was not good, pool was dirty, bedding had stains, porch was not clean from previous guest. Overall not the place for me. I ended up leaving a day earlier and went to a smaller boutique hotel.
