There was 1 person holding down the fort and he was not there at the front desk for about 15 minutes while I waited to check in. I understand that he may have been away from the desk to take care of other room needs however I called as directed on the sign to let someone know I was there and no one answered and the phone at the front desk rang so that was me calling myself. Anyway, when the front desk person did appear, he and another worker showed up out of breath and when I asked about checking in and that I had been waiting, the young man said “Well did you call?” Anyway, there was something else going on with the front desk person helping this young man who was working. It was a bit weird and the young man then left. Anyway, the front desk man from then on was very nice to me, held my door and helped me.
As far as the room, the remote did not work. I went to the front desk and the same man found some batteries, replaced them and then helped me get the TV set up.
The remote was bad and I couldn’t get the volume to to turn down after awhile. I think that the batteries that he replaced were old. Anyway, I couldn’t get the TV to turn off or turn down so I ended up unplugging it. Even without the remote, I couldn’t find the power switch.
I would say that at the time of my stay, COVID-19 sickness was a bit deal and I’m sure people were calling in sick. The man at the desk apologized and helped me as much as he could but overall, my stay was not great.
