There are 2 transfer options available to reach the property: 1) Land transfer via shuttle at 7 AM from Magellan Sutera Resort lobby (in Kota Kinabalu) followed by boat transfer to Rampayan Jetty (in Kota Belud), and return boat transfer from Rampayan Jetty at 2:30 PM followed by land transfer to Magellan Sutera Resort lobby; OR 2) Boat transfer from Rampayan Jetty (in Kota Belud) at 10 AM to Mantanani Island resort jetty, and return from Mantanani Island resort jetty to Rampayan Jetty at 11:30 AM. Small Paradise, Big Soul
Why merely disembark day-trip speed boats for a rushed photo-shoot of Pulau Mantanani Besar’s marine protected coral reef island? Instead, indulge at your own pace on white sandy beachfront chalets like pampered VIP guests. Savior Mantanani’s teal blue aquatic splendor by basking in comfort while feasting on four tasty meals a day. That was exactly what my partner and I embarked on for six whole days. We cherished every moment of our time here. The only regret was not staying longer. We departed with watery eye melancholy as our speedboat sailed off. Looking backwards, the collective smiles of the attentive food & beverage team lingered in our hearts as our paradise island shrunk into the distance. Our final verdict: Mantanani Island was even more spectacular in person than the photogenic postcard pictures. This thanks in part to the wonderful individuals immersed in Sutera’s cheerful hospitality culture. ‘Small paradise, big soul’ sums up our experience here.

Anniversary ruined
Cancelled last minute due to weather condition and forcefully shoved us to another hotel (Sutera Magellan) under their group. Literally waited nearly five hours trying to reach management while the Magellan front desk was extremely unhelpful and just put up a "not our fault" attitude and Mantanani wouldn't answer a single call. Only positive experience was that the hotels.com representative was willing to help us book another hotel and refund us the difference while I am still waiting for this hotel group to process my refund for the cancellation on transportation (which they say will take 2 working weeks, while they happily took my cash and booked the transportation within 30 minutes) and the manager's email is unreachable for some reason.

Fantastic hotel. Room and bed were very comfortable. Included in plan was excellent breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner...all very good quality. Also included were snorkeling trips. We stayed 2 nights but given the distance getting there one more night would have been perfect.

Très bon hôtel
Superbe hôtel dans une île qui pourrait être magnifique si il y avait moins de détritus sur les pourtours de l’ile !! La plage de l’hotel est quant à elle, propre ;) Un peu déçue également de ne pas avoir pu voir de lamantins, malheureusement ils ont disparus depuis 3 ans ! Rien à redire sur l’hôtel par lui même, le personnel est au petits soins et très sympathiques.
