Reno's are pretty.... But!
To start, I would like to say that for the past 4 years I have been travelling and staying in Halifax and this trip I decided to stay closer to family, if a room is not up to your standards as a hotel, it probably should not be rented out.
Anyway, my story. First, I WAS told about the $25.00 per night parking fee. Though the gentleman checking us in did mention that the gate was broken, so the gate was up and that he was not sure about when it was going to be fixed. So you wouldn't need the card to get out, as the gate was broken. This was also clear, as the pay station had a big sign on it staying that the gate was open. So....... Begs the question ...... Why am I being charged $25.00 per night when the gate is open and anyone coming in off the street is parking for free???
Secondly, room WAS rennovated. That was great. Clean, well done room, but the bed was broken or off kelter or something. It literally felt like you were sleeping uphill with your head at the low end. Eventing the middle of the night I had to change to the foot of the bed to try to get some decent sleep.
Finally, in theorning after not so great fight with the bed, we had VERY LITTLE water pressure on both the sink and the shower. And eventually, NO WATER AT ALL on our room. When we called the front desk, they sent up maintenance, which we were told there was a broken pump somewhere.
NOT GOOD.
So when checking out, we explained what happened and were given $25.00 off our bill. 🙄 Thanks!
