Visit the Montrose for the ZIP code ...

The overall stay was good but not so much due to the hotel but due to it's zip code. The hotel is dated and desparately needs redecorating/remodel. Features of the hotel as the pool, the fire place, and the record player don't work. The room was not even prepped as ecidenced by the garbage left in the room, meal remnants left in the closet, used glasses on the table. There was a safety issue with getting into/off of the roof/pool level. All that said, I still had a great time and slept well enough. The main attribute of this hotel is it is conveniently located near Sunset boulevard within staggering distance of the bars and night clubs. In other words I might stay again but only for the zip code, not because of any inherent service they provide other than a bed.
