    This place is awful. The pictures are very deceiving. I travel a lot for work and while I'm picky, I try to allow for a bit of error along the way. I found nothing positive to say about this place. I've stayed at many Wyndham hotels. They're 'hit and miss' when it comes to satisfaction, but this one was the worst. So much that I didn't even stay. As soon as I pulled in to the parking lot I already had an idea of what my stay (or lack of) would be like. The parking lot was filled with potholes the size of craters. There were quite a few 'shady' characters walking around the complex. I questioned even leaving my dog alone there. I certainly did not feel safe. The grounds were littered right up to the door of my room. The room had a horrible odor I can't even explain. The TV didn't work and when I turned the radio on so that my dog didn't have to sit in complete silence while I was gone, I had to wash my hands 3 times to get the grease residue off that the radio had left behind. The bed was so sunken I can only imagine what a nightmare it would have been to actually sleep on. There was only 1 glass in the cabinet, but 4 coffee mugs and no overhead light in the kitchen. Only a spot for a light with loose wiring. When I returned to my room from work, the 'radio' had changed to an obnoxious alarm and I'm sure my dog now has PTSD from. I packed up and left. The money lost from leaving early wasn't even a concern at that point. STEER CLEAR of any reservation here!

    Not as nice as the pictures

    We were surprised by the state of this property. The pictures online definitely make it look like it’s in better condition than it is. The parking lot was full of cigarette butts and there was bagged trash piled on the sidewalk. The girl at the front desk was friendly though.

    This is not what was advertised. Paid for 2 king beds, went to the room and the beds were clearly not kings. I went to the front desk and was told, "thay what we got you in, I don’t go in the rooms." When we checked out the bill stated we were in a 2 queen room. Multiple other issues like no warning that they were not providing breakfast, tv's didn't work, and in need of some serious maintenence and repair.

    I made a reservation, confirmed (hence your email asking for my review), however when we got to the hotel around 10pm, after a 14-hour drive, with a car full of people, the room hadn’t been “marked ready.” The front desk staff went to check on the room and found, in fact, it was NOT clean and the AC was not working. The clerk would not rent the room, which was fine. The problem: 1) there was no where at the Hawthorne for us to stay. We had to find another place to stay. At 10pm. After a 14-hour drive. With a car full of people. 2) why did they not call us about this sooner? 3) why was the AC not fixed during the day? Very disappointing.

    The room had stains on the couch, there was a hole punched in the bathroom door, no ice, WiFi password didn’t work, room was too dark to read my book, and there was trash all over the property. Many of the outside lights were broken. The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The TV worked and there was hot water, although I couldn’t shower because the faucet was broken. The reviews gave this property 3.5 stars, but I wouldn’t give it 1!

    The condition of the grounds were dirty. Cigarette butts all outside of our room. Guest where sitting out on stair landing, there smoking and talking until late at night. All the cigarettes butts where just left. But everywhere you went there was trash and cigarette butts.
