    Under construction and expensive parking.

    Our stay was ok. There were no amenities available due to COVID restrictions. I chose this hotel specifically because of the walkway to Penn Station so my family could safely walk to the station. We were unaware, however, that the walkway was under construction so we had to walk outdoors at night in a neighborhood that did not seem very safe. Also, parking was very expensive and there were no nearby free or discounted options.

    Ok Stay!!

    Ok Stay, staff was a little dry, not too friendly at check in! The parking is way too expensive, 42 dollars per day are you kidding me? Clean rooms, a long walk from the lobby to the parking lot!! At check out it was saying I owed 68 dollars for parking, I’m glad I checked my receipt cause I would have been ripped off!!! The rep did go in and had it corrected!! Will I stay here again? Absolutely not!!!

    Would not stay here again

    The hotel was nice and clean. They informed me they don't clean room on weekends. I was there with family my son had an accident in the bed. All they did was leave me extra sheets. One roll of toilet paper in the room. Staff was not that pleasant. And big miscommunication about parking I was quoted one price then when it's time to pay. They rang me up for more only saying oh he told you the wrong price and I was not told I had to pay parking every day of my stay after I already paid 230 to stay there. Parking was another almost 90 dollars. This hotel was not worth the money that I paid

    This is James Morgan, Spencer's dad who had one of the rooms. The first room had a musty smell and the floor it was on obviously had a fairly large party with several rooms and lots of noisey kids wandering the hall. We requested a floor change and the second room was much better- quiet and no smell.

    Decent hotel (during covid)

    This is was a Buisness stay for the storm and sadly I can’t go in detail of the stay since it was such a unique situation and covid as well. The places is cleanliness is decent but I can understand they only have 1 or 2 cleaners as well staff cuts. It was really bare min. The rooms was nice I’ll say that. Your typical bedroom with 2 full beds. Shower/bath and nice amenities. Sadly again due to covid the restaurant, gym, bar, and other additional was closed. Even the breakfast I found out. Either way service was great they worked with everyone since a lot of food needed to be ordered from outside if that’s what you wanted to do.

    The one thing I liked about the hotel is it was right across the street from Newark Penn Station. I also liked the fact they had hand sanitizing stations and wipes throughout the lobby of the hotel. The front desk staff for the most part were nice but they have to put up a front for the laziness for the other staff members such as housekeeping and the engineer. With that said, when I got to my room it was dirty. The bathroom had mold around the tub and on the tile walls. When I ran the bathroom sink water to brush my teeth or to wash my hands and face the sink was stopped up and the air unit that was connected the heat and air conditioner was FILTHY!! I definitely called the front desk and told them that my room was dirty. The times that we're in today, dealing with Covid it should have been spotless. One of the front desk male attendees came to my room trying to "clean" the mold and was trying to convince me that the bathroom didn't have "that much" mold in it but I have pictures. I appreciate the effort but It's not the front desk job to clean my room it's the housekeeper job! Then as cold as it was outside from Friday into Saturday night the air unit only blew out COLD air. The sink was stopped up and the engineer just came upstairs and poured drano when we all know drano just makes it worse. This hotel fell short. I was expecting the manager to reach out to me because I requested to speak to the manager but he or she was probably hiding as well.
