Terrible place. Not worth the money
The place may have the Hilton name on it, but it is nothing compared to Hilton's. They should change the name to Motel 6. It was so old and nothing up to par or repaired. The air conditioner did not work. The furniture was original form the 1960's when it was built. Please stay some where else. There are so many nice places in Addis. The one good thing was the pool and fitness room. However, that was even to crowded because it is not only for guests all community people come to use the fitness center and the pool. The locker rooms were full of fungus and I didn't even dare walk around. The smell was terrible. I can't believe that Hilton allows the name to stay on the building.

Warm welcome and hospitality from the staff all around. Very old property, and dark rooms. While the neighborhood claimed to be secured the internal hotel security is very poor and anyone can access the guest room elevators and even your room. Yes, we had an intruder in our room and had to involve hotel security and local police. Traumatic experience and major fault in Hilton Addis Ababa's duty of care for their guests.
