Rooms a little difficult to get to with large suitcases. Some hallways a bit tight, staircases quite narrow. Lift very small and only goes between floors so still have to carry cases up some stairs. (This is mentioned but isn’t a prominent notice unless you go looking for it on booking site)
Room nicely refurbed. Good decor. Excellent sea views. However, floors really need levelling out, the room we were in and hallway floors were so wonky, we almost fell over a number of times as the floors put you off balance a bit. This also meant the bed was slightly tipped with the foot of the bed being slightly higher than the headboard end and so felt like we were sleeping slightly down hill. Bathrooms a little tired but I believe these are due for renovations.
Requested iron and ironing board at front desk. Receptionist looked very baffled by request, said he didn’t think they had them but would get back to me. Sadly, never actually got back to me on that one. Rooms are extremely hot with the heating on. We turned our radiator off after first night but room still got very warm. Could do with investing in air conditioning units.
Not sure sheets were every changed on the beds during our stay, just bed quickly remade it seemed.
Hotel close to pier and to town centre. Everything in good walking distance. Downside to being so close to pier is the pier clock. It chimes every 15 minutes from 8am til 11pm and nowhere is this mentioned! Take ear plugs and probably not ideal for babies!
