Disappointing. Not worth the price.
The only good thing about this place is the location. There is nothing special in this "luxury" hotel. I've stayed in a nicer Holiday Inn. Room service is a joke (really doesn't exist), the rooms are small and outdated. The bathroom gross Not even a bottle of water. For the price I expected a lot lot more.

Small maintenance issues included very squeaky bathroom door hinge, bad bathtub faucet diverter valve and very sluggish TV remote. Also with significant room rate no free Wi-Fi. Absurd!

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown
Nice hotel near local attractions downtown. On-site parking like most hotels downtown is very expensive. Room was small with low ceilings and minimal clothing storage. Wouldn’t classify it as luxury but it’s nice.

Downtown Nashville? Stay here.
This property was perfect for our stay in downtown Nashville. We used the library parking garage directly across the street with connecting walkway from the garage to the hotel. Everything downtown was within walking distance. If you stay Saturday night, book with room with prepaid breakfast - the Sunday brunch is worth it.

Service with a smile
Upon booking I balked at the rate, but by check out time two days later, I only thought about "What an excellent deal! How soon can I return?". The Renaissance was beautiful, comfortable, conveniently located. The breakfast buffet was first class, but above all it was the exemplary service by the staff. Every member of the staff greeted us warmly and assisted us with any need we had. I have no need to look any further than the Renaissance for my next trip to Nashville.
