One of the best options in SF
Its affordable, clean and safe. From check-in to check-out we were feeling at home. Staff is so kind, cheerful and really helpful. The location is perfect, you have access to main bus routes around the city. The hotel is also good for travellers cause it has free water and coffee in mornings. Its true there are lots of homeless people around Union Square area but this has nothing to do with this hotel, its SF’s problem.

Fun Weekend Trip
This is a very cute, older site that has been updated without losing any character. It's very quaint, not modern, in the most positive way. I love finding places like this in such a good location. The elevator was out of service when I arrived but it was quickly repaired. Staff was very helpful during the inconvenience.

Not so great
My room was so hot, and the staff provided me a portable fan that didn’t work well unless it was in my face. The bed was hard and so tall. I’m short and had a hard time getting in the bed. On top of that the bed kept slipping off the base board and I hit my shin on it multiple times. My uncomfortable level was high, and felt the $200 security deposit was ridiculous for all the trouble I went through
