Hotels in San Juan are expensive. I was traveling alone and had 2 extra nights before flight. Found the basic room for $43 was perfect. Self check in. Clean white walls, new AC, big TV up on wall and ok bed. Small room with fridge (2 waters) but for one traveler works. WiFi. Uber is all around, dinning options but went online, found sushi with delivery...Bathroom was small but clean and useful with plenty nice towels. First night no hot water but next day had some. Nice terrace on top and you can walk to the beach.

Room 16 pros: biggest room, windows, very clean, modern inside, in a safe neighborhood, walking distance to beach access, restaurants and liquor store, coffee in lobby, large rooftop with bit of ocean view is great! Cons: parking is hit or miss especially weekends (but I would Uber everywhere I couldn't walk in San Juan area), thin walls so bring ear plugs, busy area, Saturday night motor bike races happen down Isla Verde Ave, though we were happy to hear ppl having fun, maybe would be less noisy in one of those without windows? No elevator, but didn't bother us. Overall, was great for a night or few.

Ok place for one night stay
This place is ok if its a one night stay the room is clean, its a bit loud since the other guest hang out in the hall you can hear them, no one at desk when I arrived or checked out. The location was a bit ghetto but again if you need a one night stay for cheap its ok.

I have been here for 7 days due to a problem with my flight reservation. I’m so thankful I found the pelican guest house. It has made a very stressful situation, better. Due to the kindness of staff, location, clean accommodations. My mind is at ease as I’m comfortable & well rested to continue my journey home.
