The hotel lobby was beautiful. The staff was pleasant. My kids loved the pool. Slightly inconvenienced that there was not a microwave or fridge in the rooms.

Highway robbery
They refused to let my daughter stay since I accidentally put my name on the reservation. They also would not refund for the reservation but were more than happy to charge I’ve $100 more for her to make her own reservation on site. That brought the total for staying at this prison adjacent hotel to nearly $600 for the night. Doubletree will not be on my list of future hotels to stay at

Would stay again.
Bed comfortable, check-in staff helpful and friendly. Room was nice, could use a little maintenance on bathroom fixtures. They work but handles on faucet facing wrong way, just looked old and in need of repair. Furniture also scraped and damaged looking. Restaurant was dismal. Food expensive and bad, waiter surly. Ride to airport prompt and friendly, even at 3:30 in the morning. All the airport hotels in Newark tend to look a bit well worn. This one at least had comfortable beds, so I would stay here again.

Down stairs look good up stairs bad
The rooms are not like y’all said on pictures no microwave no fridge raider pay for parking dirty hallways supposed to be no smoking people smoking in the rooms. Front desk was good was OK but this was not peaceful, won’t be booking with this hotel no more

Disappointed (Room + Service)
The room needed to be upgraded, especially for the price we paid for it. The phone did not work properly and the iron board was broke. Called for service about both issues, the telephone repair guy was rude and obnoxious, the guy who was sent to give us a working iron board refused to take the broken iron board. I've always wanted to stay at this hotel, needless to say I'm pretty disappointed - will not be going back. (Also, the guy at the front desk forgot to validate our parking pass - ugh!)
