Not worth the money they charge
The room was nice. A tad outdated. The first time we went to take a shower sewage came up. They handled but treated like an inconvenience. It happened again through out the week it was just overall bad.

Hire more agents at check in
35 minutes in line to check in. Then our room was not ready on time, so agent gave us a $50 dining credit. Food is too expensive. I was hoping after Covid that the hvac system had been made stronger. Casino floor very smoky, had to fight to find the front desk.

Never again, till they make improvements
This hotel needs to be knocked down and remodeled. It’s just blah! It was awesome years back, but if you’re wondering why the room rates are low, you’re going to find out. Toilet was too low to the ground, no bars to help pull yourself up, beds too low to the ground. Furniture in room very uncomfortable, we were in the east tower, got into our room quickly because we had received an email telling us to download the App. (Which we did) to get into the elevator and our room digitally( sounds good huh? It wasn’t !). the system didn’t work, nor did our TV, asked for help, it took forever for service to come. Finally asked for a room change, they accommodated us which was nice, security gave us a $50.00 comp. Which we used at Tenders Steak House downstairs, which was the only place in the entire facility where someone smiled, although I’m sure that’s because of the huge tip you leave them based on the prices. The food was very good though, worth every cent. People working in this hotel, in all parts, never smile, although this could be because they seem to be seriously understaffed, which I’m guessing is by design after the Pandemic. In the food court area, I’m never going to pay $26.00 for a grilled chicken salad, which results in something that looks as if it came from an elementary school cafeteria, and a plastic bottled water. My partner had a single piece of pizza and the same plastic bottled water for $17.00 We did love the Titanic and Bodies exhibit.

Was great, until it wasn't
So, the Luxor hotel itself was pretty good. The rooms were spacious and nice. The front desk staff was SO friendly when we checked in. The casino was good, the restaurants were ok. The pools were amazing. So the only issue we really had was that someone stole 2 credit cards out of our room during cleaning (we were down getting coffee when they came). The cards were out of sight and hidden under a chair under a backpack. They were used about an hour later at the apple store. I would be very careful with your items, as someone on that staff 100% stole his cards. The security desk accused my husband of making it up, or leaving the door open at first.......and basically had no intention of looking into the situation. We filed a report, and at that time they did give us a food credit for our inconvenience , but we were checking out that day and didn't have time to use. I feel like they could have done more. I saw one of the cleaning staff had her husband/boyfriend with her. He was standing outside the rooms she was cleaning...which is VERY SUSPICIOUS and unacceptable. Be cautious. Anyway moral of the story, don't leave any items of value out at this hotel when you are not in the room, unless you want to get accused of lying.

Exceptional Service ... but losing $$?
Service at the Luxor was exceptional; the people are so nurturing. However, got the impression MGM is losing money as rooms do NOT have coffee makers or refrigerators. Not one restaurant during our stay had fresh vegetables and certainly not the buffet. Only vegetable on the menus was broiled Brussel sprouts which was wonderful. Am sure there a lot of short-cuts taken by the hotel but these are just a few I noticed.
