Definitely the perfect choice
Olesia at the front desk was awesome. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The concierge desk, the maids, the bar and the restaurant were all excellent. Beautiful old hotel with a fantastic staff.

Great if you were staying in 1955
Great location and obviously was a great hotel once. But now very dated and has not come into the 21st century. For example, the internet is terrible, drops out, slow and that was just for emails and newspapers. Would not be able to work online there.

1500 checkin but we were not given a room til after 1535. Hotel a "little tired". Dust on coffee table and desk tops. Bathroom clean but a little dingy. Great location if attenfing a show at Princess theatre. No free to air television channels
Not a 5 star as it is supposed to be rated.
We were given a room upgrade as the room was still not ready by the time they gave us the room.

Heritage classic
Hotel has lovely old charm but with updated bathrooms. Good location for Paris end shopping and theatres. We were updated to a super suite which was as big a a small house! Would recommend if you like heritage feel.

Never Again
The Windsor has always been our first choice when in Melbourne. We have loved the old world charm and beaitiful features of this landmark hotel and have always enjoyed our stay.
BUT, on our stay last weekend we were sorely disappointed with our room. Apart from being the pokiest, most dismal room we have been ever been allotted it smelled of old cigarette smoke. The smell was so bad that, together with the noisy clanking aircondioner, I was unable to sleep. Finally, we had someone come to unlock the window which improved the air somewhat, but the noise of the trash and bottles being thrown away just under our window was another issue. Sadly, we will be choosing another hotel in future.

Everything was fabulous except that we could not find a pillow from your available selection that was well suited to us. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay in all respects.

What hotels were and should be
In the real heart of the city, is a retreat in time, to when genuine care and attention to a traveler still exists. From the arrival, immediate access to the theatre district, and a breakfast to actually enjoy, it is truly sad to leave.
