Too noisy / needs repairs
The apartment was at the ground level of a large building, facing a very busy street with non-stop noise from cars/trucks passing literally by our heads all night. It was also across a commercial "garage". We couldn't keep the windows open for cooler air (no air conditioning or portable fan despite the online descriptions stating it had one) due to noise, cigarette smoke, and safety concerns (ground level). There is a laundry machine but no dryer (or drying rack, again false description). We requested a drying rack which was delivered the same day but we ended up wasting precious vacation time at this point merely waiting for the delivery (since there was no "safe or combination lock box" in the apartment for valuables). Hot water ran out when two people needed to shower consecutively. This was due to the thermostat (unreachable) being set to barely "warm" temperatures. So we took cold showers. There was a huge disgusting chunk of hair blocking the shower drain. The faucet in the kitchen was wobbly/broken. Online descriptions stated that the room had a full size refrigerator. It had a mini refrigerator. There was only one bath towel/person for 3 days of stay with no "hand" towels. There was only one soap for dishwasher/laundry. We were told extra towels would cost us 5 Euros each (despite having paid a hefty nightly rate). The mirror in the bathroom was placed so high nobody could use it. Most of the above could have been remedied beforehand but were not-which is unfortunate.

Great value for money!!
The apartment was perfect for the four of us. Kitchen and bathroom was equipped with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. There are constructions in the building but during our stay they were interrupted for the Christmas holidays. The building is very charming, though, and I'll surely consider going back in the future. Location is perfect: five minutes walking from a cheap parking garage and from the metro station. Right in front of a very good supermarket.

Good: lots of space, nicely equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, relatively close to the city, grocery store across the street. Bad: no convenient parking, other tenants smoked in the stairwell and the smoke seeped under and around the door (which isn't sealed very well) into our quarters, small capacity water heater (take very fast showers!)

Overall, I was satisfied with the room. However, it was disconcerting to be in the midst of a construction site. Not a great effect. Also, the window coverings don't actually cover the windows.
