While the Grand Hyatt staff is excellent, the location is super central and the food and beverage service at breakfast as well as in the Grand Club lounge is excellent, the fact remains that this is a very noisy hotel.
On the one hand, the doors are not sound insulated and one can hear every conversation outside the room at every hour if the day. Since the hotel was recently renovated, this is baffling for a 5 star hotel - and certainly not industry standard.
Due to the central location though, there is also quite a bit of road noise - which of course can be expected in central Jakarta. In addition, there are lod music events on weekends in front of the hotel, which usually end by 10:30 pm. Thus, am early nights's sleep is only possible during weekdays.
The real problem is the fact that every night around 4 am the calls the noise level from the multitude of mosques nearby does not allow an uninterrupted sleep (at least in my case) since the PAs used by the mosques are very strong and the "sessions" take up to one and a half hours" before one can try to fall asleep again.
Combined with the noise from the hallways starting around 7am each day, the , this means very little sleep is had ar night

great facility and location. prestigeous environment and very good hospitality from staff. overall very high quality. only two issues during stay, 1. pool dining too slow(had to cancel aft 50minutes delivery) 2. rotary noise during midnight and early morning very loud (not sure whether construction or traffic..)

Just another Hyat .. perhaps a bit unpersonal, with few areas for small group meetings.
The place felt industrial, although very clean and pompous with great service.

Good and Convenient
The room was clean and very comfortable and makes it a home away from home. Breakfast was pretty decent as well.
I would have wish the check-in staff (whom I wish not to mention) could display more enthusiasm as a front-office staff with more courteous and politeness in his welcome. The room was booked under my profile for a staff of mine, but the attitude was slightly comes off as impolite the way he put certain remarks or wordings.
Overall experience has been very pleasant.

I stayed there for 2 weeks. Besides the mosque singing loudly everyday at 4am, it was an amazing stay starting with the room number which was our anniversary. The service was great as well.

One of the best hotel di Jakarta. It’s clean and tidy and nice view. The staffs are polite and excellent customer service. Good transport link and shopping around the area. Beautiful garden and swimming pool.

All the staffs are friendly and always have smile on their face which made us feel home even though it was only a few night stay. Easy access to two big shopping malls, spacious gym, if you are the gym person, you will love their gym. Breakfast buffet had one of the best selections in my experience and enjoyed it. Definitely reccomended

Relaxing and luxurious
A short stay to recover from our international flight and before onward travel to Bandung. The room was spacious with an excellent shower. and long bath. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. The best part of our stay were the lap swimming pool and the evening for cocktails and oysters at the lounge where there was live music and a marvellous view of the fountain roundabout and traffic below.
