This property is in need of a desperate upgrade. I usually love Hampton Inns. I’ll be staying at the Fairfield across the tracks next time. This my first time in Elizabeth City so I was unaware that this is located on the lesser desirable side of the tracks. If it were upgraded, I would consider staying again, but the carpet was stained. The rubber seal near the shower/floor looked nasty. I wore my flip flops in the shower because I was afraid I’d catch something. The bed linens did not appear fresh…

The Best Hotel Stay in Northeast North Carolina.
My stay at the Hampton Inn Elizabeth City, North Carolina was very nice. My stay was almost a week. Katie at the front desk is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Katie went above and beyond to ensure everything about my stay was comfortable and accommodating, from extending my stay to early check-in. The Manager of this Hampton Inn "Bo" is genuinely friendly and very professional. The hotel still looks new after years.

When we arrived early. The room was not ready. The hotel receptionist told us that it would be ready in 30minutes. I said ok. They asked me to pay for my card n I paid n went to the store. I politely mentioned to them that I had a function to go to at four pm n that we needed to get dressed.
