Solid spot for short stay
I enjoyed my stay. Building is old but I knew that already. They have done a good job making it look more modern in the lobby, and although the rooms are a bit too 70s (brownish), it was comfortable and the bed very good. Clean and good shower. I would stay again if need be.

Old hotel with a funny odour
The staff were friendly amd accomodating. The hotel itself is in prime location in the heart of Union square. The hotel is super old. They slapped new paint and renovated but it smells and looks old. The lobby is fresh but the rooms and hallways habe a funny odour. The place was in a state of repair. If you want no frills close to Union square, this place is it.
Air conditioning remote had a funky layer of dust.
Hallway to the gym under renovation/ repair
Gym… needed cleaning. Equipment was covered in dust. Exposed wiring clipped to the baseboard throughout the building.
