Homestead at Christmas can’t be beat
We love staying at the Homestead, especially during Christmas. This trip was the best yet, even with the construction going on. We were treated to champagne at check-in and a beautiful ornament. There were more decorations than in the past several years and the service was better than it has been.

Customer service nightmare
Couldn’t access our room until evening because of a broken lock. Couldn’t change rooms because they were fully booked. Went online, could book a room. They changed our room. Told us only access to pool was via shuttle. Driver said he didn’t know his way around and dropped us off in an unlit parking lot. He points up a hill and said go towards those lights. Those lights turned out to be a closed spa. Security had to pick us up and drive us to pool. Called in the morning to complain and he offers me $50. I said that’s not enough, he said he knock off our incidentals but he can’t do a refund, I’d have to call for that. I call, they call the property to ask for a refund and he tells them no. I went downstairs and asked him why he had me call if he knew he was going to deny the request when they called. He eventually comped the room but I had to really stand up for myself and fight for it. I won’t be going back to an Omni property in the future.

spectacular setting in the mountains of rural VA. Wonderful places to sit on the wude porch, main libby. afternoon tea every day. it's a bit snooty with dress codes for restaurants we found absurd-standards out of a distant past. big neno taking place on west wing. the carpets in main walk ways werde dirty and careworn elsewhere. annoying stairs so not quite an ADA friendly place throughout. desk and conciergd staff is super friendly. falconry exp is awesome. town of Hot Springs us walkable and cute with great restaurant.

The property was disappointing especially for the price, it is undergoing restoration which it definitely needs but it was dirty, the Presidents Bar was closed and the food service was expensive and nothing exceptional. The spa was dirty, saunas were closed, and prices were hyper inflated. I had a mani/pedi and the product that was used peeled off after 24 hrs and had to be re-done. This was our second time hear and unfortunately we won’t be back.
