Poor 2.0
seedy rip-off
My overpriced room looked over a big pile of garbage that I could smell because of the rain. It looked nothing like the photos online, it had a very cheap atmosphere with no heart. There was no heat so I froze, and the walls are paper-thin. The neighbors were screaming/very loud until 5:00 in the morning and they sounded like they were in the room with me, even with earplugs. I tried to use the phone to call the front desk, but it didn’t work; there was no connection to hotel staff and I was too cold to get out of bed to go to the front desk. They had warm water, but certainly not hot. The manager told me to take my time to check out because they weren’t booked; I overslept due to the horrible conditions (came from overseas that night, so I was exhausted). He then yelled at me for taking too long, to justify not giving me a discount I would guess. I never asked for one anyway, but I said, if anything, he should be apologetic. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel staff person, so I was shocked. He was just trying to intimidate me I think so I wouldn’t demand some type of refund. The one good thing is that I could quickly walk to the station and catch my 14:20 train to a dream of a place for 1/6 of the cost! What is ironic is I splurged on this hotel for one night just to recover from all of the travel, and as a world traveler, it ended up being the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Great and quiet location
It took a minute to find the hotel from the train station, but once we did we were not disappointed. There were three of us sharing a room and it was large enough to fit all of our luggage and we still had space. The beds were nicely spaced out and very comfortable. There were enough outlets for all three of us to use whether we needed a hair dryer or for charging our phones. The beds were extremely comfortable. After a long day out exploring we came back to a clean room, fluffed pillows, and again comfortable beds. If you use the blackout curtain light didn't come into the room and you were able to sleep. We didn't hear any noise from the hallways or outside, until the church bells chimed in the morning. The bathroom was very clean and had 4 different shower heads. We all felt like we were in a luxury bathroom! Breakfast is nice at the hotel and there is a small but nice variety of food available. The garden center right next to the breakfast area is worth taking a look at or even taking your breakfast there. The hotel is in a great location right next to the train station and a short walk from restaurants and shops. It a nice walk to get anywhere or even taking a water taxi. The hotel staff was friendly in providing restaurant recommendations, places to visit when we had down time from tours, and was extremely nice and quick during checkout. We would definitely stay here again!

Great staff and hotel
The staff is outstanding and very helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Breakfast is good with fresh pastry options each day in addition to the standard meat/cheese options. Just be aware that the church bells ring at 7:15 each morning. We liked it. Great alarm clock.
