Nice place. Clean modern room & facility. Nice balcony. Not the greatest neighborhood but never felt unsafe and the area seems to be on the rise. Did notice a security guy walking around checking on things late at night which was nice to know they provide. Nice Bar/Restaurant next door for a quick meal or drink. Loud train comes near by a couple times a day. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking in the hotel lot is scarce - I suppose there were some spots on the street but I would prefer not to park on the street. Only had 1 issue - We (and another couple staying with us) were hassled a couple times by the valet guy stating we could not park in the hotel parking lot and would we like to use the valet service. This was after we were already parked in spots on the property and they clearly were not marked for valet. I checked with the front desk person who said it was ok to park where we were but then we were approached at least 1 or 2 more times after that which was really raising my blood pressure. Only other small negative - Even with having pretty much a full kitchen in our unit with 2 different kinds of coffee makers, there was no microwave in the room and we had to use a microwave in the public lobby space. Not the end of the world but not very convenient. In the end we would stay there again.
Front desk service was outstanding. Liked the room, the views, breakfast, free coffee and to food shop for late night snacks. Great Service and concept at reasonable prices.
Unfortunately, I had made a mistake in booking my reservation. I guess I clicked on the date a week later than when I showed up. The front desk person couldn't have been more kind or patient with me as I got in touch with Orbitz. I believe her name was Jackie. (Forgive me if that's wrong!) We had the nicest chat while the operator at Orbitz accommodated me. Had I not been so anxious to see what my room was like I could have stayed awhile longer in the lobby exchanging stories with her. I would recommend BentoLiving to anyone looking for an overnight stay, but especially to anyone needing an extended stay in Nashville. Conveniently located to many areas, but also in a very quiet neighborhood. If you're not into sharing a communal space (a well appointed kitchen and laundry area) then this might not be the place for you. But I had the entire "pod" to myself and couldn't have enjoyed my stay more!
A glitch in the system showing my reservation was a no show even though I arrived shortly after check-in on the correct dates. Took nearly 40 minutes for the staff to figure out how to reset the reservation and give me a room.
The reservation ended up being “hostel” type with 5 rooms (having own door and bathroom) emptying into a common eating/cooking area. A big surprise to us. We asked for an upgrade. We ended up two levels up for $38 more. The new room was nice and large with complete kitchen ... This new room also had a Murphy bed... pretty comfortable. The floors, however, were not carpeted. They were polished cement. One throw-rug that was under the bed. Not my idea of luxury. Oh, and the heat didn’t come on. Cold air only. It was a cool day in Nashville, about 40 degrees. No engineer on duty. Nice lady at the front desk brought us extra blankets. We were comfortable after going to bed. Oh, and there was no restaurants in, or near this hotel. The only food available was from a food truck outside next door. Did I mention 40 degrees. I do not recommend this hotel location...
Not bad overall, couldn’t get the ac to act right . Like it didn’t want to cut on for some reason. Also there was a train right beside the property that went by 3-4 times throughout the night. Not exactly the hotels fault but it was a disturbance nonetheless.
I loved the co living space idea for groups of friends.
Hotel was awesome! Stay was pleasant! Loved The Bodega 👍 My only “con” about Bento, is a bit noisy, between train sounds and next door restaurant was loud.
Really cool hotel. A slight distance from downtown but great accommodations at a good price. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pay at hotel, as price will be less than with hotels.com
It will be an awesome place once the get the quirks worked out. Great concept and many benifits
