The heating system was not working effectively. There was no microwave, limited cups and glasses; no tea in room, no free breakfast. Of course much of this could be known had I done a better job of looking at the facility online. The staff were not friendly nor helpful.

Property was fine. Staff was friendly. One of the front desk staff said our room number out loud while checking in, which, as a former Marriott employee, is a no-no. For the safety of the guest, you are not supposed to do that. When we arrived, there was a smoke alarm directly above the bed. I fought the urge to dismantle it to see if there was a camera inside (the location is weird and people can be as well), but slept terribly knowing my family and I could possibly being nefariously spied on. We did not have any spare toilet paper so had to ask the front staff for that. Super low start on tissues so we had to ask for that as well. We did not get our room cleaned between the days of our stay. Shower was leaky. We had a patio door that was unlocked from the time we got there until we noticed it the next day.

I did not like that there was no free coffee/tea provided. I expect that at a Marriott but perhaps Courtyard are different. I was given a handicapped room which was fine but it might have been needed by another guest who checked in later. The staff who worked the desk Friday and Saturday was very helpful.
