Perfect choice for the theater district!
The Belvedere is one of the most reliable choices in the theater district. The property is exceedingly well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the location could not be more convenient - several major subway lines are within a block or two and Broadway is virtually on your doorstep even though the hotel is on a quiet block. The only thing that marred our stay was trouble getting our room cleaned. Admittedly, housekeeping practices in any hotel can be confusing these days, but after our room hadn’t been cleaned the first few days, we spoke to the front desk and arranged a specific time for cleaning that day - and yet when we returned to our room ten hours later, it still hadn’t been cleaned. Not a huge deal for us, but even emptying the waste baskets and some fresh towels would have been appreciated.

Great choice for the Theater District
I have atayed here multiple times, and enjoy the convenient location to reatautants, shopping and theaters. They are updating the rooms, I've stayed in everything from the standard to the deluxe to the superior, and am always comfortable.

Nice hotel
After check- in and got to the room, I saw checked into a wrong room - a single bed. I called the front desk, to inform them & was transferred to a line that just rang & then went off. While I went downstairs to talk to the front desk, my friend informed me that someone called back to help rectify the problem. At the front desk they apologized & put me in the double double room I paid for.

Not welcoming front desk
It was around 7 pm, while there was no other customer in line, I was standing at the front desk for over a minute. None of the two front desk staff looked at me or greeted me till I said hello. The lady staff responded impatiently that she knew I was there but I need to wait until the staff are available. When the gentleman staff hear this, he took me immediately. While I was working with the gentleman for checking in, another customer coming to the front desk. The lady staff who talked to me rudely 1 minute ago responded the customer promptly. I stayed in Manhattan hotels for many times, including this one a couple years ago, this is my first time to feel unwelcome at front desk. I did hope this lady staff had a great day. If anything happened to her, a professional attitude at work is still needed.
