We stayed in a King suite which I mistakenly thought had a kitchen. All we had was a tiny refrigerator which did not have any room to hold all of our leftovers from dinner. That was disappointing. The room was comfortable and the location is convenient.

Weekend get away!
Hotel is clean, comfortable and appears to be well taken care of! Hubby & I just wanted a peaceful weekend away to celebrate our 44th anniversary. We truly found a friendly staff, and excellent accommodations which we could also bring our dog! The room even had a doggie bed and bowls for Cindy🐶 upon our arrival! Due to slow travels getting there (another snow storm) we didn’t arrive until around 7 pm so we decided to order dinner from the hotel restaurant and sent to our room. Food was very good and appropriately priced! Most of the weekend we spent lounging and taking short walks with the dog! They have an area off the back if the parking lot to walk the dog and stay out of the way of moving traffic! They also leave a list of area dog friendly parks! Will return again!

I've been to this location a few times before but this was the first time after the rebranding and renovation. I was impressed at everything, from the reception area to the cleanliness of my room. The new restaurant there was great as well. Some amenities like coffee machine were removed from my room due to covid-related concerns, but that says as much about the hotel's effort in preventing infections as anything else and I'm not going to fault them for it. Overall a very pleasant experience and I will definitely choose this hotel again if I'm in the area.

Warm and inviting
The room was exceptionally large. Our dog came with us. They supplied us with a dog bed and dishes. There was plenty of outdoor area for him also. The restaurant menu was a bit limited. I didn't like them misting our room before arival with a cleaning agent. I understand covid but I'm an asthmatic and it took me a day for my breathing to come back to normal. Also the mask policy seemed a bit extreme for a virus with over a 99% recovery, but we dealt with it. I would definitely stay there again!

Stay away
For the price I paid for the weekend, I expected a hot shower, better restaurant choices, better alcohol choices and most importantly. Not having a shopping cart outside the hotel for the entire weekend. I don’t go away often, but I expected more. Would not go back or recommend.

This place brings a lot to the table, with some minor issues. First, the bad....the door slamming. This place has a ton of rooms- something like 170- and the rooms are very loud. There’s were a lot of people coming and going and multiple times I was startled awake by a door slamming. It definitely impacted quality of sleep and would be nice if they could fix that issue. They also do not have thermostats in each room so you don’t have control over your individual room temp. Now, the good. This place is far cheaper than anywhere else I found in Newport that wasn’t of the motel 6 variety. The place is pretty old but they’ve done a great job decorating and making it feel hip/cool. It was less than half the price of the hotels downtown and although you had to Uber it was less than 10 minutes drive to get to the main areas. Another major plus was the bar/restaurant. Their food and drinks were top notch and clearly outpaced expectations for a hotel bar. We had apps one night and drinks, and then breakfast the next day and both meals were great. Another small perk was the ample free parking available. Overall I would recommend the Wayfinder. It’s a little rough around the edges in certain areas but considering it’s half the price of most other hotels in Newport and still offers a lot in its own right, I would stay again

Overall a newly renovated hotel, nice neutral tones and simple. The shower had the BEST products, we actually both them in Newport. A bit noisy but overall okay.

Enjoyed this hotel a lot! It was perfect price for being 5 mins away from the center of town. It was clean and the staff was always willing to help. There is a restaurant on site which is nice for days you don’t feel like going anywhere. The noise lever was always really minimal which I loved! My three big problems were pillows were too soft, but that’s a matter of preference. The AC unit was pretty loud, often when it kicked on in the middle of the night I would hear it. Lastly the curtains were not dark enough so as soon as the sun was up so was I, but overall very much enjoyed this stay and would return ! P.S. Being dog friendly is super cool & I loved seeing all the other guests furry friends.
