Couldn't care less about the customer
If not staying there for a conference at the event center, it's not worth staying at. Ac wasn't working and absolutely no tv service, and honestly they couldn't have cared less. First stop on an 11 day vacation and it was an awful and stressful start. Will never stay at Hotel Topeka again.

Just Ok at best
I stayed for 4 nights and asked for my room to be cleaned on the second night and it didn't happen, they said they clean every 3rd day. On day 3 my room wasn't cleaned again. The lobby area was nice, but the room had peeling wallpaper at the top, and the bedspread had a tear in it. Beware of the parking lot, it had some patchwork done, other areas had some good potholes in it, and most of the parking lot was a tripping hazard. For the money, I wouldn't have expected this from the hotel.

Areas of improvements
Cleanliness was good, the pool was wonderful. Areas of improvement include: the electronic key cards to enter into the rooms did not work on throughout my stay. I had to go to the front desk multiple (3times) throughout my 2-day stay to get the card exchanged for a new one. This was a common complaint from other hotel clients as well, as I overhead complaints in the elevator. In addition, the in room telephone did not work nor did the light on the desk, even after changing plugs. Lastly, on Saturday evening, the downstairs restaurant did not offer ANYTHING to eat. Forcing all guests to order or go out to dinner. This was extremely disappointing as I purposely chose this hotel for the option of dining in during my stay.
