    Over Rated King

This might be my first negative review ever about any hotels i have ever stayed in. Didn’t want to do negative publicity but couldn’t hold sharing some of my thoughts regarding this hotel. Rooms were very noisy throughout the stay. Expected a little bigger room but was very congested. Customer service provided was very rushed and feels like just felt like throwing people into their rooms as quickly as they could. Toilet roll was almost already out and wasn’t even changed before Providing the room, Moreover there wasn’t even any backup one. Never expected it from 4 star hotel with so many good reviews. ( PS: I know its easy to ask another one from housekeeping, I m just stating the facts how the room was given at first place). TV does have chromecast feature so you can watch netflix, prime, disney or any sort of your favourite app by directly connecting through your phone wirelessly. ( Though in regular short stays and business related travels, Nobody watch TV that much nowadays). The only thing i liked about the hotel was the location of this hotel as it was located at the central downtown which we can have access to almost all shopping malls, Sky train , restaurants etc. (Ironically the only positive thing about hotel isn’t even about hotel itself). Overall, there are so many better options in downtown Vancouver specially in this price range which could basically fulfil all the basic necessities along with with better overall experience.

    Thumb's Up.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. The location is convenient and the staff was excellent. The room I was in was dated but more than fine. I enjoyed my stay and will return again.

I have stayed here several times but this last visit was atypical due to the ongoing pandemic and the experience was much poorer than before. The room was still clean and grand but there were toileteries missing, bath tub drain was draining slow (but was fixed promptly when we complained). Bathrobes were missing from the room, only self parking was available and it was pretty congested. Again, I have had great experience here in the past before so I will chalk this bad one up to the ongoing pandemic and them running on a skeleton crew.

It was second time this year visiting Vancouver and last time we stayed at residence by Marriott . Compare to that experience based on the price of this hotel , I would recommend Marriott.

    Great location and friendly service

Pros: Great location, classic hotel, quite dated, although it gives that old world charm. Service was courteous and professional. Cons: As noted in previous reviews, parking, while onsite is quite tedious to use. Getting into the parking floors while inside the building? Front desk needs to operate the parking elevator - you cant get there without them doing that. Entering the secured parking from outside the hotel, you are to get the remote from the reception first. If there is a queue at reception, have to wait. Very inconvenient.

    Great stay

The staff is so helpful and that makes all the difference. Jordan truly took care of everything I need. The room itself was a little disappointing. Rather small for a family of 4, a bit dark. The picture on the web does not represent the size of the room! But comfort was good and cleanliness was very good. Access to the WMCA for pool and Gym is impressive and unique. Much better than any facilities you will get in any other hotels.

    Fitful sleep

The room was beautiful. The separate lounge area was comfortable. The lighting was was wonderful with many options for full to low level comfort. Unfortunately, there was no indication at booking that the bar and restaurant were still closed even though covid information was provided, it was incomplete. The bed was comfortable but there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling that clicked, groaned and moaned sporadicly all night. Sleep was broken.
