Affordable hotel with excellent service.
We recently stayed at Candia Hotel and were very impressed with the service. Everyone we dealt with from the front desk and the restaurant were very helpful and provided excellent service. Although our room was dated and could use some upgrade including a mattress topper to make the mattress more comfortable, the staff was so accommodating and tried really hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was made up every day, the towels changed, the bathroom cleaned, and the bed made up. The breakfast buffet was included with our room and had a lot of options. They also offered a very affordable buffet dinner. The location is very good with bus stop and a Metro station within walking distance as well as the Hop on Hop off bus. Their is a good variety of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The daytime front desk attendant was very helpful when we asked him about the city bus and made recommendations to visit a monastery close to the Botanical Garden we wanted to visit. We would definitely return.

The service is very good, however the rooms are very dated and in need of upgrades. The bathroom in our room was so small that the sink was on top of the toilet and it was impossible to sit up straight when using the bathroom. The breakfast which is included was very good with many options. The neighbourhood is not the safest so you need to be careful when going out. Very nice terrace with very nice view of the Parthenon lit up at night.

Fine for the price.
Walls were quite thin, so you could hear other people easily. This was especially noticeable early in the morning, when people were getting ready to leave to catch flights, and you could easily hear people talk and move before sunrise. Apart from that it had everything you needed and wanted. when you're paying a lower price than the rest of the market, it's the sort of thing that you can expect.

For the price, it’s not really worth it. You’re better to go someplace cheaper as the quality would be about the same. It’s in an ok area, but far from any of the night life. It wasn’t very clean either. I had hair on my sheets, tub, and stains on the floor. Also you can’t keep your air conditioner on while out, as you key controls the power. I understand this, but it is a bit frustrating when it’s extremely hot out and one would like to come back to a cool room.

Good basic hotel for tour groups . Lots of weird combo of beds in the rooms. Stayed trice and no double provided. Best thing is the rooftop bar and pool. Great views and cool breezes. Close to train and only a couple of stops to city centre
