Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg, Paris, France

We have stayed at this Sofitel several times in the past (10 years ago) and were always happy. The hotel itself is lovely but our room was small and dark with a shower that was absolutely useless! The bed had an under blanket which had a ridge in the middle which meant that my wife and I kept rolling to the edge of the bed. The staff were pleasant but the 'very expensive' hot breakfast was stone cold. This was scrambled egg, bacon and sausage. I waited for a fresh delivery but that really wasn't much warmer. The fruit and cereal was OK but the coffee took forever to arrive and was sludgy and undrinkable. I am amazed that the quality was no very poor at breakfast. The reason we went back was previous experience and location which is great - a couple of minutes from the Le Place De La Concorde. We won't use this hotel again.. Very disappointing. We are in the Gatwick Sofitel on Monday so let's hope it's better than Paris!

Eh. For the price I would have expected much better service. Staff at a 5-star hotel should really go above and beyond, but these guys did the bare minimum. Also not a child-friendly hotel. The location is central to the tourist sites, which was fine. Our room was a good size and very clean.

Love the deco & love the bed. We took a break from our holiday & slept in. Was worth the stay. It’s right in the shopping area! Would come back again!

A pleasant hotel. But there is room for improvement. For the price of the rooms there is no sparkling water available and a poor night room service menu. The bar closes early. Breakfast is expensive.
