Pleasant enough
Great check in experience . Taken to room and shown round which was very pleasant. Went down to bar and sat and waited to be served as instructed on check in. After a while husband signalled bar man. I hasten to add there were only about 8 of us in the hotel that I could see in total. 2nd set of drinks hubby took glasses back to the bar which now had 3 members in attendence. Hubby asked if cider on draught or in bottles. Told bottles so he asked for 2. 10 minutes later bar man was still pottering behind the bar so we asked again. "Oh yes" he said as must have forgotten. The cider was disgusting Smelt strange.Must have been off so we took it back to bar. No apology or replacement offered just told " well its out of a bottle Dinner was lovely.Served by the nice gent who checked us in.Food was very tasty and generous portions.Strangely lacking in veg tho. Breakfast was nice .Served by a lovely lady . The only problem was the very watered down orange juice. Could not drink it. Room was nice and clean.Furniture and decor tasteful. Beds very hard though and pillows like biscuits. We did not sleep well. Walls are like paper sadly so we heard everything from corridor and next door. Pipes were whistling a happy tune when next door had a shower at 7am. Toilet seat needs refitting as moves when you sit on it.Water pressure verall an ok stay but dont think we will be staying again

Exceptional 10.0
We stayed here for one night the staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice sized carpark our room was very spacious clean and comfortable especially the bed. The bathroom was very modern and clean. Our evening meal was excellent as for my steak and ale pie wow it should receive a national award it was the best that I have ever had. We liked the roof terrace for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast was also very good. My wife and myself would love to return one day.

ot Covid secure
Lovely hotel that allows dogs but absolutely not Covid secure so needs to be avoided for safety reasons! It’s unacceptable and I hope they get caught! It’s such a shame! Would I stay here in the future? Yes, when the pandemic is over. In the near future, no way!

short but perfect breakaway
we had a lovely stay at the crossways. The room was large and comfortable with all amenities. Everything was very clean and the service was excellent.

Exceptional 10.0
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice. The only thing that could have been better was the food. It was ok but my husband had the Macaroni Cheese but it looked like and tasted like it was out of a Bachelors packet mix. The continental breakfast was very limited but the cooked breakfast had a lot of choice if you like eggs. This would not put us off returning as the area and the facilities of the hotel were exactly what we wanted. We just may go out and eat.

Delightful place to stay
Delightful place to stay after an afternoon shopping at Street. Good Covid precautions. Very comfortable room with excellent bath/ shower. Really good dinner, the three of us had different choices from the menu and all very good. As it was a fine morning we sat out on the terrace for breakfast - wonderful view, matched by the full English breakfast.

Find somewhere else
Did not feel safe , because staff weren’t wearing masks along with no other customers, no body was cleaning hands , watched the staff half clean/disenfect table after use , some sanitizers didn’t work , the car park entrance and exits were useless for a motorbike wouldn’t have been happy in a car either, eve meal poor not much choice and more like a burger bar fast food cafe , the ordering system was not good every one was at bar ordering as couldn’t log on to site to order this is to complicated for everyone to do other guests noisy all night although not hotel fault they could have been challenged as banging doors and shouting at running up corridor, breakfast was basic over cooked and machine juice tea and coffee

Lovely short break close to Wells and Glastonbury
Lovely big room and nice views from patio. Excellent breakfast very good and good choices for dinner even though they were offering a reduced menu. Very remote position but only a short drive to Wells and Glastonbury.

Fantastic spacious room. Very friendly staff and our dog made welcome Dinner was poor, over an hour wait and burnt. Apologies were made for the delay but at no point did anyone ask if we were happy with the meal which would have been sent back if we weren’t so hungry.
