My family and I love the entire atmosphere for the hotel. The different things to do was very enjoyable and my children loved it. However, the little interaction I had with front desk made me feel like a burden and would make me reconsider staying at the TWA. I called the front desk three times and each time I was greeted with an irritated “front desk

    Thin walls...

Hotel was a good choice to stay from JFK especially when you have an early flight. The only issue we had was that we can easily hear next room noise from our room. The person was speaking to someone a lot in his phone and we can easily hear his conversation.

Front desk was not great when checking in. I made a mistake and accidentally booked two rooms. He cleared it up but was very annoyed with me. First time traveling since Dec2019 so little rusty. Gave us a deluxe room when I booked a suite. Did not tell us anything about our stay. Not even how to get to our room. Where the pool was. Nothing. We had to stop and ask another employee where our room was. Deluxe Room extremely noisy. Feels like a prison cell. Can hear everything people are doing next door. Restaurant staff was awesome. Food is average and over priced. Drinks aren’t bad. Overall okay stay. Not looking forward to staying there again at all.

Good spot for what we needed.

We had a layover so we decided to take a nap here. Lol love the decor of the hotel, bed was amazing. Check in was really simple and they were very helpful. Cool walking up to see airplanes.

    Cool spot

rooms were a little small but thats just bc we were a family of four... the red carpets in the long hallways need to be cleaned... but overall, fun, retro. The pool was awesome - too cold out for us to use, but it was heated and overlooked the runway... amazing!

Fo for coffee and to see the pool AND LEAVE ASAP!

This place has fabulous design and the worst customer service I have ever ever experienced. Go have a coffee at the Intelligentsia coffee bar, walk around, see the design and the old uniforms and LEAVE ASAP. The hotel staff was very close to rude and did not have a room for us when we arrived off a late flight at 11:OO pm. We did finally get a room at 12:30. The manager - I believer her name was Salome - told me "it had been a hard day." There were at least 5 other parties who were told there was no room for them so I was grateful to have a place to lie down other than the lobby. Salome agreed to cover my parking - an additional $40, but given that the room was close to $300 a night and we couldn't get in to it until well after midnight, she should have refunded at least half, if not the full amount for the insane situation. I toured the country as a comic for 10 years and have never had an experience like this - nor had the pilot who tried to check in after me and the couple from Oregon whose flight got in after us. Absolutely awful.

    Back in Time

Check-in was not good. We couldn’t get in an hour earlier due to computer glitches. Then when we did check in, it took a while. The hotel itself is clean and nice. Rooms have a nice bed with views. The walk in showers are quite large. The rooftop pool was real nice, with amazing views of the runway.

We check in at 11:30 pm and our room was not ready. We have to wait with 2 toddler for more than a hour for our room. I do not understand because the rooms are supposed to be ready at 4:00 pm why there were not ready on time.

I checked in late on a layover at around 1am and called ahead to let them know. The red carpets all throughout the tunnels were dirty and stained on my way in which isn’t a pleasant sight on arrival. I couldn’t find the reception desk, wasn’t conveniently located or even well signposted. Upon my check in the lady on the desk had a horrible attitude. I asked her for a wake up call and she said that they do not do wake up calls, which surprised me for any hotel. She called a colleague over and started a friendly conversation with him during my check in which had nothing at all to do with my check in, I assume she was just not entertained enough by me. Nobody offered to help me to my room. I proceeded to wander around a vast space with very scant directions until I found the room. The room itself was clean and basic. My room overlooked the main gallery area and tourists were wandering around even at that time in the morning. I tried to shut my blinds with an electric switch but one of them got stuck. Rather than have tourists look directly into my room all night I decided to try and fix the blind myself rather than call the receptionist who had already been as unhelpful as she could. I had to balance on a chair to fix it and thankfully managed to. The bedside tables were so small you could barely charge your phone. No water in the room. Was glad to get out of there the next morning. It’s a shame because the building itself is beautiful and it could be something really special
