We stay here every year
The rooms are very comfortable, and it's easy to walk into downtown Palo Alto or Town & Country Village, even Stanford Shopping Center. Staff always greeted us when we entered. One thing: room 453 still needs a repair on the over-the-bed light nearest the door!

We checked in at midnight and had outstanding check In service. Everything was wonderful until the very end. We were getting ready to check out and one of us was napping. The horribly loud fire alarm went off causing quite the rude awakening fo the napper, and caused the rest of us to rush to get out. There was no explanation. When I checked out, I had to ask what happened. There was no apology, no offer to make up for the inconvenience. Didn’t leave on a good note.

The place is clean and comfortable. It’s dated and the carpet and the couches in our room looked old/gross. The service wasn’t great. We requested a crib and had to follow up three times to get it. It was bedtime for our infant daughter and pretty frustrating.

Strange light switches. Had to have a staff person examine them (touch here, not here and quickly) Said they have a lot of questions about them and they are fixing them now with the upgrade to the hotel.
