My adult daughters and I stayed at this AC Marriott for four nights for a girls trip. I stay at Marriott Hotels any chance I can get because I am a rewards member and typically have great experiences. In this case, the hotel was not necessarily what I was expecting. Upon check-in, our two rooms were not ready (even though the hotel was not nearly to full capacity). Instructions at check-in about the $45 per room dining credit was not explained and we had to find this out on our own at the bar. There was a lack of instruction about the breakfast buffet, pool hours, gym location, just all of the simple things. Sadly housekeeping neglected to restock simple things like toilet paper, coffee, water bottles, etc, so I had to always request more. The second night we were there, there was a domestic disturbance directly across the hall from me that entailed hotel security and the police to become involved. When ALL of these things were shared with the front desk, an half-hearted apology was expressed. I travel a fair amount and love giving positive feedback but not in this case. We loved everything about San Juan but this Marriott property came up short. We did encounter Michelle in the bar to be wonderful, as well as Edwardo and Gloria who offered massages. Good establishments start at the top and it seems as if this Marriott property is not in line with the dozens of other Marriotts I have stayed at. We will pick a different hotel when we return someday.
