Don’t stay here!
I don’t have anything nice to say about this place. It was probably nice at one time but is severely outdated, peeling wallpaper, loud AC, stained carpets. We were here for 3 nights, never saw any maid service. Had to beg for fresh towels. Ran out of TP and Kleenex. Our room was ready when we arrived but we saw many people waiting in the lobby for a room to be cleaned. Felt sorry for the couple with kids that still couldn’t get into their room at 9 pm and no one could tell them when, even though they had a confirmed reservation.

A warning to others
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. I am a very seasoned traveller and not one to ever leave a review but feel the need to warn others before they experience the disgust I've seen here. The check in staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwelcoming, and although surprising for this area, this is something I could look past. But what I can't look past is the unsanitary state this hotel is in to even allow guests into the premises. Especially during covid times, I would expect a much higher level of cleanliness but instead experienced Never in my life would I recommend this hotel even to my worst enemy. It should be removed from every travel website until major upgrades and changes to management are done.

Look Elsewhere, Avoid
We only stayed here as there was no other availability in the area. The first red flag was while checking in they have printed signs all over lobby titled “Polite Notice” telling guest that negative behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated. I also did not appreciate being charged a $200 damage deposit for our room that came with a disclaimer sheet that I had to sign. One of the conditions was “quiet time” starting at 10pm and you will not get your deposit back if this is violated. I refused to sign this portion. We also noticed that homeless people were possibly being housed in this hotel, we saw them smoking drugs in the parking lot and going through the garbage, I was worried about my cars security overnight. There are also security guards on floors in the hotel, which is good but a bad look. The room itself was filthy. It was damp and not cleaned properly. We found hair in our bed! The bathroom was disgusting, once again human hair (pubic) all over the floor and tub, stinky shower curtain and the tile grout was dirty. The bed was old. You can smell cigarette and marijuana smoke while walking through the hallways. In the age of covid, I can’t believe hotels like this are still not properly cleaning their rooms. They are more concerned about quiet time and dictating all these conditions to their guest while not holding up their end with providing a clean and welcoming stay. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Stay elsewhere. Terrible property.

Worst hotel in Charlottetown?
We were rather shocked at the state of repair at this hotel. It may once have been a nice place, judging by the (very outdated) pictures they used, but the place is a mess. For instance, the hallway outside our room reeked of stale tobacco (despite a no smoking policy) garbage bags were left outside rooms for hours and hours, there was an active leak from the ceiling just beyond our room that they had "addressed" by cutting a hole in the ceiling so that water could fall directly into a large recycle bin - and it clearly had been that way for some time - no one was repairing it - they simply swapped out the buckets when full. Our room, especially the bathroom, was filthy. Toilet had black mold growing inside the bowl and there was hair all over the floor. The comforter on one of the beds had a large blood stain that we had to call the front desk to have it changed. The breakfast doesn't even deserve to be called such - they offered bread for toast, some horrible cheap yogurt, and coffee. That was it. On top of all this, upon check-in they require a $200 damage deposit, to be refunded after check-out. I've never had a hotel request such a thing. The only good thing is its location downtown, close to restaurants and shopping. The facility itself however is a mess and should be avoided.
