Not four star
The hotel is close to airport and tram is right in front. Hotel lobby is nice, however the carpets in the hallways of all upper floors were really dirty, old and stained. Room carpet also had some stains but not as much. The chair had stains, beds and bathroom were ok, but one pillow had stains as well. The phone in the room didn’t work, so had to walk to the desk if anything was needed. It had a nice sauna and fitness room though. Overall it wasn’t a four star in anyway, and not worth the money we paid. We were actually disappointed, as we had higher expectations for Switzerland.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! This hotel is very old and needs urgent reparation or demolition. If you expect Novotel-standard, this is not the place to be. We booked this hotel as we like Novotel, just stayed at the amazing Novotel at Munich Airport. However, this hotel is terrible. Not only that the hotel is old and not maintained nearly everything is broken (e.g. TV in the room. Oh, thanks for the coffee and tea, but the water-cooker was missing, so I think Zurich prefers a cold brew.) The hotel is never 4-stars! The biggest issue is the black mold in the bathroom. This is a health issue and needs to be addressed immediately. Finally: If the staff at check-out is unfriendly and unwilling to ask how the stay was, says a lot…! I cannot understand that Novotel has a shabby place like that in their portfolio.
