    Bad customer service

Cara at the front desk was very rude. I asked her for a extra blanket, apparently according to her, the hotel was out of blankets! I had asked for a roll away bed, they did not accommodate that. I had to pay thirty dollars more for an upgraded room with a pull out couch. Again, there where no linens for the pull out. I tried to call the front desk, phone does not work in the room. I went back down to the front desk to ask for linen for the pull out. Again, Cara was very rude! She said she has sheets, but no blankets? I asked her if we can get a blanket from another room that is empty? She said no. This is a hospitality business! Where is the customer service here? Also, when she gave us the room keys, she gave us 2 room keys and we had 3 people. I told her that I needed 3 room keys, she said “you got 2 room keys “ I said I know, I need 3. Again, she had a horrible attitude about giving me the other key and threw it on the counter.

    Needs total update!

Room was very clean. Furniture very old, stained and broken down. Bought a sheet to cover the sofa. Never sat in the chair. No soap to wash out limited dishes supplied. Just needs a complete update! Employees very apologetic and eager to do what they could to help.

Smells like pee and ran down

This hotel is out dated and had a bad smell of dog pee. The carpet in the hallways of the 3rd floor was bunched up in the middle. My wife and I went through about 5 key card during a 3 night stay because they kept deactivating. the property has potential of being an excellent hotel ! just needs some love

Nostalgia for a Local, but Home to a Stranger

Last year in October I had an aunt pass away; the following month my godfather died. In August I finally, admitted to my partner that I knew I had to say my grandmother (also godmother) was going to follow them. I knew after my godfather passed that it was only a matter of time. The anniversary of my aunts departure was on the 11th and I reside in Sacramento. I booked a room on the morning of the 19th for a different hotel after I won 5k at the casino. I didn't want to go to my apartment in sac. There were no rooms on the Hilton app so, I used my Hotels.com account. Larkspur is a fantastic hotel and I've enjoyed each stay in multiple locations. This specific Larkspur though, has been very secluded and relaxing. The attendant who checked me in is probably the most polite staff member, other than Devin in Milpitas that I've encountered. The room was spotless, the price was affordable and doing laundry is free. This location however, was the first to hand me a sheet that listed a free, continental breakfast menu; the options for everything offered by the hotel were listed and it has an option for pick-up time, number of guests who wanted which items per room etc,. I grew up here, it's been a hard year. I'll be leaving for the navy soon and I'm glad I chose Larkspur, Roseville to stay at because, this city alone is nostalgic. I would recommend this Larkspur to anyone staying in the greater Sacramento area.

No frills, but clean and efficient

Although the hotel is dated and the carpets in the halls lumpy, the room itself was very clean. The appliances and fixtures were clean and polished. The snacks in the morning were very generous. If you could just fix the raised threshold between the lobby and elevator it wouldn't have been such an effort to roll our luggage over.

    Smells of urine!

I booked this hotel because the reviews on hotels.com were fairly decent. I wasn’t looking for anything luxurious, I was just there to help my daughter. As we approach the hotel from the outside, it looked very cute. Check-in was pretty smooth. However the second we opened our door to our room it absolutely reeked of urine! It was a pet friendly hotel, which is another reason why I chose it. As I was moving my daughters cat up from Southern California to Northern California. I thought maybe it was just me thinking it smelled worse than it actually did. However as we settled in for the evening and got ready to go to bed the stench of the heron was so strong I could not even sleep. I kept Waking up from the incredibly deep burning smell of the urine. The next morning my husband went to the desk and they very easily moved us to another room. The other room still had a smell of urine, but it was not nearly as horrendous as the original room. I was at least able to sleep then. If I had known that it shared a parking lot with the Hilton gardens hotel, I would have just stayed there. They offered a breakfast, However it was exactly the same cold styled breakfast every morning. I understand that Cove it is still a thing. However it is clearly under much more control than the hotel wants to work with. None of their staff were wearing a mask, however they have a sign on the door saying that masks are required. I don’t believe I will ever stay there again.

    Not for a family!

I based my stay on the reviews here. My mistake. Let me help those that are traveling with family. If you have just 2 people and the room, and you don’t care at all about air conditioning, it’s not a bad place to stay, but plenty of other options in the area for just two people at better prices. The living room “sofa bed” for the kids, was super old, lumpy, small, and the worst - stained. There is plenty of room to put a queen size new sofa bed. It’s time for an upgrade. The air conditioning is only in the living room. There is supposed to be a fan that moves some of the cool air to the bedroom, but ours didn’t work. The front desk told us it can take an hour to start working, but even that didn’t work. We tried to open the window when it finally cooled a bit at night, but with a view of I80, you also get the freeway sounds. We had even called before our trip to confirm air conditioning in each room. We learned they meant each unit, not each individual room. They were out of pillows for the sofa bed as well. Finally if you plan to use the kitchen to eat, bring your own plates, bowls, cups, etc. our room had a very small random assortment of these that wouldn’t make it for 1 meal for 4.

The hotel looks really nice from the outside. But when you go to your room it’s a different store. Everything it’s old they need to update. The room had a funny smell. the bathroom needed better cleaning. It was really Dusty. you can tell they didn’t clean the vents. my two little girls had a really bad allergies. Right when they enter the room they couldn’t stop sneezing and coughing from all the dust.

    Nice Stay

When I arrived at 3PM our room wasn’t ready yet. Had to wait about 30-40 mins. But the room was very spacious and super clean. Would definitely recommend the boardroom if you want a spacious hotel room
