Room was of a good clean standard. I preferred it to a Premier Inn. It had everything I needed.

    needs a major shake up

Don't stay for breakfast, filthy conditions and health and safety would have a field day with the hot food service area. Fruit juice dispensers look like not been cleaned for months. Toast racks next to toaster also not been cleaned for months. Power cable a trip hazard if you want to indulge in fried eggs or other hot items. Room clean enough but a bit higgledy piggledy getting about the hotel. wifi code on lamenated sheets in room incorrect. Correct code on bottom of room key information which wasn't given out when checked in. 1 night long enough.

    No quite there yet.

We were concerned after reading the reviews on line and pictures we had seen, however we had the superior rooms that had been renovated in June, the rooms had nice comfortable beds and bedding a large shower, kettle with mugs and mix of tea and coffee with plenty of milk, flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon prime that didn’t work, however the TV was fine. The room was lovely and warm with a seating area and luggage rack. The one complaint was breakfast there was 8 of us and we waited over hour for toast, I ask them several times but toast kept going to other tables…. There were tables full of dirty plates and only 3 members of staff, 1 young girl was close to tears poor thing the young boy had his hair flopping everywhere round the food and looked like he had just got up after a good night out, I would give breakfast a miss to be honest it’s not worth the money, my other issue was I never saw any members of staff use and hand gel even when they were handling so much in the restaurant and constantly adjusting their face masks.

Sub standard room it was dirty and the bathroom smelt of urine the ceiling had paint peeling from it the only thing that was good was that the sheets on the bed were nice and clean tv in room didn’t work either . Service at the bar was dreadful we had to go looking for a member of staff to serve us every time we wanted a drink needless to say we won’t stay here again very poor

    Avoid avoid avoid

The only thing executive about that room was the price! Avoid at all costs, dilapidated horror show. Sad really, the staff are lovely, I felt so sorry for them. Room was a disgrace, ancient lumpy bed, tatty everything, the bath took 25 minutes to fill- no exaggeration! No water pressure in shower either, I still have suds in my hair. Door slamming was like a cannon going off in your room, Complained on check out and was promised a call back by a manager which didn't happen; hence the shocking review. I paid £115 for the exec room but suspect the £75 rooms outside the main building were better, well and truly stung for being a business traveler! I hear the Premier Inn down the road is beautiful and where I will be staying from now on, Best Western please investigate, this property is letting your name down!
