Mediocre at best
The beach was nice. The property in general is showing signs of age. Missing tiles in the pools, condition of room/furniture a little beat up. Food was abundant but the quality wasn't great. We were promised beach club day passes if we attended a timeshare sales talk but they don't just give you the passes. You have to go to the front desk to get authorized to use the day passes and they won't authorize them before 11 am. The booking supposedly came with a $200 resort credit. You don't actually get a credit: you get 15% off coupons for specific activities so you have to spend $1333 on activities to get $200 off. Front desk staff were rude.

Great for families but terrible customer service
Lots to like but some major issues too. The good- great family friendly resort. Really great place to come with young kids. Pools are excellent. The bad- at check-in they tried to tell us the 2 bedroom suite we had booked was sold out and wanted to move us to a different hotel. But my parents’ room would still be at this hotel splitting the family vacation. After much protest they finally “found” us a 2 bedroom suite but meant we didn’t get into our room until very late with young exhausted kids. Food is very mediocre. Beef at all restaurants do tough couldn’t be chewed. On cruise days the resort is overrun by cruise ship passengers who apparently have access to the resort and lines for food and drinks get crazy and staff even take away chairs from hotel guests that have towels on them while guests are swimming in the pool to give to cruise guests. The $200 hotel credit they give for suites is a complete joke. It’s a series of coupons that are not usable. Discounts on lobster but only if you order 2. $15 off a $35 bottle of wine. But prices are listed in pesos not dollars so used phones to convert. When we tried to use $15 they told us the bottle was only $34.70, but then credit card charge showed $35.70. Basically they make it impossible to use.

The employees gave excellent customer service! Our housekeeper did a wonderful job with our room and I was never concerned about missing anything. Enjoyed all the extras - kayak, sailboat, bike, boogie board, yoga, pilates, and water aerobics. The entertainment was so-so. All in all, was a great place to take a vacation at.

Did not receive info on amenities when we arrived, front desk staff not really helpful. Went to make dinner reservations and told it was fully booked. Overall felt the food quality was quite poor. Couldn’t sit by pool as there were not enough chairs, same at beach. Tried to play tennis twice no one there to help us, same with pickle ball. Felt property was definitely not as advertised. Weather was great! Staff were mostly friendly.

Very comfortable stay here with family. Kids loved all the pools and slides. Beach right in front is beautiful, safe and had some amazing sunsets. We also did some sea kayaking in the morning when the waves were calmer. Kayaks rentals and boogie boards are included in the all inclusive cost. We also found the food pretty good. Surprised about the reviews but we mostly are at casa Bella which had a lot of variety and good quality food every day. Staff members were quite energetic and they ran some fun games around the activity pool area which was entertaining. We also loved the Vegas dance show, magic show and Mexican folk dance show. We missed encanto but heard that it was great as well. We didn’t use kids club much (our kids are 5&8) but played some mini golf, ping pong, ice hockey etc in the teen’s club with them which was fun. We also ate a couple of times at la bamba (burgers, hot dogs, Mac and cheese etc.) and pizza place and they were convenient as well. Drinks were watered down as expected in all inclusive places but didn’t bother us too much since we weren’t too interested in alcohol. They were refreshing and tasty though. It was truly a relaxing and fun vacation. The only advice would be to carry small bags as many parts of the hotel doesn’t have elevators so you have to take them up and down the stairs when checking in and out. Also, if you aren’t interested in time-share, just be upfront when checking in so that they don’t waste too much of your time.

Marival Emotions was great and their staff did a great job making our kids and us feel welcome whenever we went. From doing on of their classes in the pool during the day to seeing them at the shows at night performing was really cool. The food was abundant and there was always one dish that was extra amazing. Will definitely go back again

This is the perfect place to take a family! However, there was plenty to keep adults entertained as well. It was absolutely amazing in every way! The only thing we didn’t like was after getting up at 2:00 am and traveling many hours from the east coast, check in included someone trying to give us free things in exchange for listening to a timeshare presentation. They were very persistent, but we were equally persistent in putting them off. No way I am going to agree to anything in a sleep deprived state. This was a minor issue overall - just annoying!!
