Not clean at all.
The hotel room was dirty. Still food in the refrigerator from someone else's stay. The bathroom still had dirty towels on the floor. Looks like cleaning staff just made the beds and didn't care to clean thoroughly.

Family visit
I requested accessible room and wasn't able to get one. They put me in a regular 2 queen beds room with a refrigerator that did not work. My food went bad. Carpeting was not clean.

Poor
Stay away
Casino was closed down and not one mention of their website. Room was out dated by 40 years mold and mildew all over the bathroom. Toilet seat was so old and disgusting. Sheets were dingy. Booked two nights left after two hours. Gave them my money for to basically view the graveyard of a room.

Place Needs Work
Check-in and lobby was pleasant, but the hallways and our room were VERY dated and worn. Furniture, refrigerator, and bathroom fixtures were serviceable but appeared to be from the 70s. Beds were comfortable. Wall heating unit/fan ran nonstop all night and was noisy. One of the two bath towels was stained. Grout in bathroom had some mildew and tub/shower was so narrow, the curtain rubbed against me as I showered. No breakfast due to COVID. For the price I paid, I was okay with my stay—except for the wall unit, it was quiet and felt safe. But I would not return.

We stay here at least twice a month for work in the area. I won't stay anywhere else! Once you find a reliable place with a great mattress, you tend to remember. The walls aren't paper thin either. You'll hear noise and doors closing but that's about it. It's an all around great place to crash for a night or two.

Extra clean, extra spacious, super comfortable
Beyond impressed with this hotel’s covid practices. There’s a list in the room of everything they sanitize. Even the remote is sanitized and placed in a sealable bag. They wipe every handle, button etc. Rooms are huge. Comfortable. Clean. No one was there since Santa Fe was essentially closed down so I had a wing to myself. Love noon checkout too. Brown bag breakfast due to Covid which I preferred.

Ok hotel, but not that pet-friendly
This is definitely a no frills, bare essentials hotel. I was passing through Santa Fe & just needed a place to stay overnight. After checking out several hotels, I chose Cities of Gold hotel because of the price & the pet fee not being too bad. However, during check-in, I was informed that they only have 2 pet rooms, and they’re almost twice as much as the price listed on hotels.com. This was incredibly frustrating, since I only booked this hotel because of the low price & there was no way to select “pet room” on hotels.com at time of booking. Luckily the lady worked with me. I was about to leave otherwise. And this hotel is about 18 mules out of Santa Fe, so that would not have made me happy, to have to go back into Santa Fe. Once in my room, it was ok. Decent as far as cleanliness goes. However, the walls are so thin! I could hear the whole conveyor the people in the room next to me. I couldn’t fall asleep at an early time due to this. Then was awaken at 5am when they left.
