More 2 stars - I was Gutted mainly due to my stay.
Room was a bit smelly. No soap in the bathroom to wash hands. I had to ring up 3 times and wait about 2 hours for it. Then no shower gel. Had to ring up another 3 times and waited 2 hours until I went downstairs. Then Incorrectly charged me for parking on my receipt which I had to change. Also did not give me my 20% off food & drink. Also fobbed me off when asking for room upgrade due to man city playing but they do not play until today. This is the short version

Lack lustre Lowry Manchester
Hotel is becoming tired in places. The washrooms on the restaurant floor are showing signs of wear. As is the restaurant. Bar area is very nice. Staff are fantastic there. Breakfast was diabolical- stayed for three nights / 3 breakfasts. Vastly overpriced at £67 for two people. Same buffet every day, scrambled eggs runny and horrible, lukewarm baked beans that looked like they had been there hours. Stale bread. Cold coffee served. Seemed to be only one type of jam in the pot holders - blackcurrant. Slow service. Some Staff laughing and chatting while guests were waiting for service. I will not book with breakfast again. Will pre book somewhere like the Ivy as quarantined quality. Re room - 603 - door in bathroom looked like it had been kicked in and badly repaired, annoyingly part of the bathroom door handle came lose and rattled when opening / shutting the door. At £1200 for three nights stay it should be better. I got the feeling the staff are not very happy - from reception to the restaurant staff. I was so annoyed I cancelled an afternoon tea as did not want to spend additional money on a potentially disappointing experience. We do love the overall ambience here, but needs to step up to warrant £1200 for a nice bit ok room, with lack lustre service ( apart from the bar area).

Loved The Lowry!
Brilliant hotel, huge room which smelt divine, very comfortable massive bed, didn’t hear any noise from outside or within the hotel, delicious quality (buffet) breakfast in the River Terrace. Just a short and safe 10 min walk into the centre. We loved it!
