Older Marriott but one of the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is friendly and pay very much attention to detail. As a business traveler, I will always return to this Marriott when traveling to San José. Thank you for the excellent service ! Well done !

I did a suite reservation with a king bed, and I was assigned a normal room with a double bed... because they said they don´t have my room available. At least I expected a room with a king bed.

The culture at this property was aiming to please and not forced like in the usa. Tipping is almost impossible as i cant believe how well maintained and the extra effort to fix any problems we encounter in Costa Rica. 5 star service.

We called in previous night to let them know that we were going to check in late but when we arrived, there was a hassle. They had marked it as no-show in spite of our calling in earlier and took extremely long (about an hour) to resolve the matter. Next morning checking out was equally painful, the lady at the counter let someone else that came in behind us interrupt us and started a long conversation (25 mins). At the end she did not clearly communicate what the final bill was nor did she hand over a receipt, tersely saying we are all good! Not the experience we wanted on our first night in Costa Rica.
