First of all, they rerouted me to a different apartment than what I booked. The one they gave me is in Korea town, which was different from the one I booked in LA downtown financial district (S Broadway). It was a lot further out than where I wanted to stay. Further, they did not notify of the change in the property at all until on the day of checking in. The apartment (the whole building) in Korea town had a strong cooking smell, was old and shabby looking with some counter panel peeling off. This is not how it was advertised as upscale, high-end private residence.
It was unacceptable standard, so I left and did not stay there at all (even the first night). I contacted the host to cancel my entire reservation. I had to sleep on a couch at my son’s apartment in downtown LA and found another accommodation for the rest of my stay in LA.
