Modern vibe, Great location!
The Acme is my new favorite hotel in Chicago after staying here last year for NeoCon (business trip), I decided to stay here again when my husband and I came into town for the Chicago Fire L.A. Galaxy game. The Acme was as good as I remembered it. The check in staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and consisted of a sleeping area and a large sitting area (this may well have been an upgrade from the standard room). They don't have in room coffee makers but since there is a West Town Bakery in the lobby, you don't need it. Also, you can have your morning coffee delivered to your room is you need it first thing. What I like best about this hotel is that it manages to be very comfortable without being stuffy. They have some fun touches like the vinyl record sleeves on the walls in the elevators, the amazon echo in the guest rooms, and the trapeze sculptures in the light well (making an otherwise boring back of building view into a very cool view). The location of the Acme is perfect. You are a stone's throw from the Magnificent Mile if you want to shop, but also in a great spot to be able to walk to the bars, brew pubs and restaurants. I should also add that the price is very reasonable for this location.

Location excellent. Service decent, although it felt like an upscale hostel. Definitely a 3star hotel by American standards.
