Basic

Having been disappointed by another hotel, we had to hastily find alternative accommodation and Erguvan was one of the closest. We booked one night but extended for another day as the accommodation facilities were reasonably ok and we had no time to look for alternative accommodation again. Erguvan provides basic accommodation. Although it is listed as a 4 star, it is not a 4star hotel by far. Little did I know that the 1 day extension through the hotel would result in unpleasantness. We were required to pay in Euro and unknown to us banks charge an extra R10 Euro to withdraw Euros from the ATM. We saw a side to Ozzo (Owner/Manager) we did not like and were glad we were leaving. The rooms had 2 left side slippers, the handheld shower was broken, the fridge was not working. Breakfast was unusual and unappetising, we didn't like it all. We saw unhygienic practices where a guest held bread with their hand while cutting it and unknowingly the next guest would cut the piece held by the previous guest. Fruit vendors in Turkey had fresh fruit so it was disappointing that the fruit served was not fresh. My 14 year old son and sister had no interest in trying out the breakfast the second day because of the previous day's disappointment. Personally, we would not stay at the hotel again.
